Chapter 8

Veronica POV

"What are you doing here? This is for the soccer teams." Sadie said.

"I am on the soccer team." I said while smiling.

"As a captain." Mariah said standing next to me.

"I don't remember asking you." Sadie said while pointing to Mariah.

"But it's true." I said.

"Prove it." Sadie said while crossing her arms.

I turned around and showed her my jacket.

"I don't care because your little stupid team is going down." She said while looking at me.

"That's nice." I said.

"If you are captain, I think your coach is blind." She said laughing with two girls behind her.

"I think you mean your coach that is talking to a stop sign." I said while pointing at him and trying no to laugh.

"He is not my coach." Sadie said while laughing.

"Then why does his jacket says (Coach of the girls soccer, team black diamond)." I said while raising my eyebrows. All of my soccer team was laughing.

"Shut up." Sadie said while walking away.

The Black diamond's coach is like 60 and our coach is 29.

"Ok girls, the game starts in 15 minuets. Get ready." The coach said.

The girls were getting ready and then I saw Ethan walking to me.

"Hey" Ethan said sitting next to me.

"Hey Dolan." I said

"How's your ankle?" He asked me while looking at me.

"It's alright." I said while looking at my ankle.

"About that date, Now that you can't go, I was thinking we could hangout at your place." Ethan said blushing.

His cheeks were so red.

"Yeah, That's fine." I said looking at him.

"Ok, see ya at 8." Ethan said.

Ethan was saying a lot of weird things. They were really funny.

"The game is about to start." Ethan said.

We were watching the gam. Mariah was doing really good but so was Sadie.

"3-2" Black diamond is winning.

"5 minuets till the game ends."

Mariah had the ball.

"GO MARIAH!!" I yelled.

Mariah is fast but Sadie somehow got the ball.

"Black diamond won"

"You see, I told you. Your stupid little team went down." Sadie said while laughing and walking out the field.

⚽️After School⚽️

"Ok girls, I know we didn't win but it's alright. We just gotta practice." The coach said to all of us.

"But that was Aaron's fault." Caitlyn said a little mad.

"How is it Aaron's fault?" The coach asked.

"Because he hurt Veronica's ankle." Caitlyn said.

"And we all know that she is the best at soccer." Jessica said.

"Ok ladies, see ya later." The coach said.

I was walking down the stairs and saw Aaron, Mason, and Noah.

I walked next to Mason and he squeezed my butt.

I just kept walking.

Aaron POV

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU DUDE?!?!" I yelled without thinking.

"What?!" Mason said a little surprised.

"AARON!!!" Mariah yelled with a huge smile.

"Forget it." I said to Mason.

"What?!" I said to Mariah.

"Let's go home." She said while pulling my hand.

We got home and walked inside to the kitchen to get a drink.

I was drinking water and then I saw Mariah walked in.

"You like Veronica, Right??" She asked me, making me spitting out my water.

"Who told you that?!?!" I asked.

"So you do." She said with a big smile on her face.

"No I don't, she is...well i don't know but she is ugly." I said.

"So it's ok if I tell her?!" She said while running upstairs.

"HEY MARIAH, DON'T!!" I yelled while running behind her.

Mariah ran inside her room and closed her door.

"Mariah, open the door!!! I said while knocking on her door.

"Only if you tell me the truth." She said.

"Ok, ok I will."

Then she opened the door.

"First, how do you know??" I asked.

"Because of how you screamed at Mason when he touched her butt." She said.

"That doesn't prove anything." I said while crossing my arms.

"Oh really?! Then why do you have a picture of her as your phone background?" Mariah said while crossing her arms. My eyes got wide opened.

"I do not." I said.

"Then why are you blushing?" She said.

I putted a picture of Veronica as my wallpaper a long time ago but I wasn't cause I liked her. It was because it was a bet that I lost to Mason at the beginning of senior year. Since then I haven't taken it off.

"It was because of the bet I made with Mason." I said.

"Shawn that happened like 3 weeks ago and the bet was for 3 days." She said holding my phone with the picture of Veronica on it.

"Aaron, Mariah, where are you guys?!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

Mariah walked downstairs to my mom.

"Hey, my phone!!" I yelled.

I walked downstairs and they were talking.

"Here, look." Mariah said while showing my mom my phone.

"MARIAH!!!" I yelled running to her and grabbed my phone.

"AARON BURRISS!!!!" My mom yelled.

"Mom, don't yell at me." I said.

"Then come here." She said.
