Chapter 36

Veronica POV

Mariah, Aaron, and I are walking to practice.

"VERONICA!! MARIAH!!" The coach yelled which means he wants us to hurry up.

"We have to go, bye Aaron." I said while running with Mariah.

When we reached the lockers, Sadie was walking out. We bumped into each other.

"Veronica, hi, I heard that you broke up with Ethan." Sadie said.

"Yeah, I broke up with him because I heard that he was cheating on me with some slut." I said while smiling sarcastically.

"Excuse- sucks to be you." She said while walking away.

"Damn." Mariah said and I just smiled.

We walked into the locker and started to get changed. We walked out and jogged to the coach. We were running around the field.

Skip practice

"Ok ladies, go to the lockers. That is all for today." The coach said.

Mariah walks to me and puts her arm around my neck.

"You need to stop running so fast." Mariah said.

"What do you mean?!? I was jogging." I said while giggling.

We walked into the lockers and changed.

"Oh Veronica, I forgot. Aaron told me that he has practice until 6." Mariah said.

"Ok then, let's go to his practice." I said.

We walked to his practice and sat down on a bench. Aaron, Ethan, and Hannah were playing. Just 10 more minutes until 6.

"Ok guys, go to the lockers. See y'all tomorrow." The coach said.

They walked to their lockers and 8 minutes later, Aaron and Hannah walked out while talking. Aaron passed right next to us. He haven't seen us yet.

"Is he really that blind??" Mariah asked and I laughed.

Aaron POV

That laugh, that little and wonderful laugh. I turned around and saw her.

"Veronica." I said and walked to her. She then turns around.

"Dude, you took forever." Mariah said.

"You passed right next to us." Veronica said.

"Yeah sorry." I said.

"What were you guys talking about?? You were really distracted." Veronica asked me.

"....... w-we were talking about..........the game." I said.

"The game?!" Hannah said while raising an eyebrow and I hit her with my elbow.

We were actually talking about when I should ask Veronica to be my girlfriend. We were thinking about at our game in a few days.

"Aaron, don't lie to me." Veronica said.

"I'm not lying." I said while laughing.

"Hannah??" Veronica asked while looking at her.

"We were talking about the game Veronica. He is stressed out." Hannah said.

"Aww, it's ok. You guys are going to win this." Veronica said.

"Now let's go." She said while pulling Mariah's hand.

"So close." I said.

"Yup." Hannah said and we walked behind them.
