Chapter 24

Veronica POV

I walked in my class and the teacher wasn't there. I was lucky.

"Veronica, where were you??" Emma asked me.

"I needed to go to the restroom." I said.

The teacher walks in with Aaron behind him.

The teacher gets a call.

"Veronica.... Your coach needs you at his office now." The teacher said and I nodded.

He gave me a pass and I walked out. I walked to my coach's office.

"You called me??" I asked.

"Yes, please sit down." He said while pointing to the chair in front of his desk.

Then Sadie walks in.

"Ok Sadie, sit down please." My coach said.

She sits down next to me.

"Ok Sadie, so you were the captain of Black diamond high school and Veronica is the captain of Deer Valley's. You guys are going to play one versus one today, after school." He said.

"Ok, fine with me." I said.

"And I will call myself Deer Valley's new girl soccer team captain." Sadie said while standing up and walked out.

"Veronica, I know you can do this. I know what she did to you." The coach said.

"And I am going to win this coach. Don't worry." I said.

I walked back to class.

🍔Lunch🍔

I walked to a table and I was waiting for Emma, Hannah, and Ethan."

Sadie then sits down in front of me.

"Veronica, just give up already. I'm going to kick your ass." Sadie said.

"I want to see that." I said.

"Ok, who invited this witch??" Hannah asked as Emma sat down next to me.

"Excuse me??" Are you talking to me??" Sadie said.

"Sadie, just leave please." Emma said while laughing.

Hannah starts to look around Sadie.

"What are you doing??" Sadie asked.

"I'm looking for your broom so you can go home." Hannah said and we start laughing.

She stands up.

"You're going to pay this back Veronica." Sadie said.

"What did I do??" I asked while smiling and trying not to laugh.

She looks at Hannah and walks away.

"Guys, stay after school please." I said.

"Why?!?!" Emma asked me.

"I'm staying anyways so I don't mind." Hannah said.

"Hey Veronica, I heard that you are going to play soccer versus Sadie today, after school." Dylan said while sitting in front of me and next to Hannah.

"That's why." Emma said.

"Veronica, people are going to stay after school to see you and Sadie." Dylan said.

"Hannah, we don't have hockey practice today. The coach wants to see Veronica play soccer versus Sadie." Aaron said.

I put my elbows on the table and my head in my hands.
