"Nol, please. I really want to leave."

He sighed. "I want you to come with me too, V, but your Alpha said no. And I have to respect that."

Nandito kaming dalawa ni Nolan sa bahay ko. Nagluluto ako ng almusal namin. Tanner woke up early because he has to hunt with the other hunters.

We, Wolves, should eat newly killed animals. Kahit minsan lang, sa ganitong paraan lalakas lalo ang aming mga lobo, tulad ng mga ordinaryong mga lobo.

"Then don't." Sabi ko.

He chuckled before patting my head. "I'm going to start a Wolf war if I won't respect his decision."

"I'll fight! I'll be on your side!"

Natawa siya. "Thank you but it's a no, V."

"But, Nol..." I pouted.

"Don't worry, you might learn how to love this pack soon, and who knows? You might learn how to love your Alpha as well."

I punched his arm before finishing what I'm cooking. "You're disgusting."

"What? You two are mates, V. It's not impossible."

"You sound like Tanner, jeez." I groaned.

"Well, we're brothers. What do you expect?" He laughed.

"You know he doesn't want you to call him brother, right?" I chuckled.

He shrugged. "He is a guy, though, so..."

"Kung papalitan niya ang katawan niya, would that be okay with you?"

He looked at me before smiling. "Yes, kung diyan masaya ang kapatid ko. Kahit sina Mama at Papa, suportado kay Tanner."

Napangiti ako bago tinuro-turo ang kanyang tagiliran. "Wish I had a brother like you."

"I am your brother, too, Vanessa. I told you before, right? You are part of our family."

I hugged him tightly. When I lost my parents during a Wolf war, sila na ang kumupkop sakin. Sila ang nagpakain, nagpa-aral, namigay ng damit at nagmahal sakin.

They even wanted to adopt me legally and told me to use Miller instead of Mercado but I told them that I want to use my family's last name. Ito nalang ang meron ako na galing sa kanila.

"Good morning, stupid faces!" Rinig kong sigaw ni Tanner nang makapasok na siya dito sa kusina.

"Good morning, ugly brother. How was your hunt?" Tanong ni Nolan habang tinutulungan akong ilagay sa lamesa ang mga niluto ko.

Tanner glared at him. "Sister!" He corrected. "and our hunt was fine, nakakapagod lang."

"Anong nakain mo?" Tanong ko.

"My favorite." He smirked.

I pouted. "A deer? Bakit ikaw lang ang nakakajackpot ng deer sa ating dalawa?"

"Because you're not patient enough when you're hunting." Umirap si Tanner bago umupo sa tapat ni Nolan.

I sat beside Nolan before placing food on my plate. The two followed.

"Kakain ka pa? Hindi ka pa nabusog? Kaya ka tumata--.." May halong pang-aasar sa tono ni Nolan.

Tanner growled. "I am not getting fat, you dumbass! Fix your eyes!"

Natawa ako ng mahina. "Tanner's on his period."

"Isa ka pa," Sinamaan niya ako ng tingin. "and oh, after you eat, go to the mansion. Alpha Pierre wants to talk to you."
