"Your mom died with your dad years ago, Vanessa. I'm sure of it," Tumingin si Alpha Evan sa kanyang Beta. "we're sure of it."

"Pero sabi ni Pierre—.."

"I'm sure you're mistaken, Pierre." Sabi naman ni Alpha Evan.

"Alam ko lahat, Tito. Part of my training before becoming an Alpha was to memorize all of the Wolf wars here in Alaska. And I remember everything clearly." Mariin na sabi ni Pierre.

Bumuntong hininga si Alpha Evan. "Why don't I show the files about that Wolf war in my office? Then we'll have a talk. Alpha to Alpha."

Napatingin sakin si Pierre bago kay Alpha Evan. "Vanessa can come too, right?"

"I'm sorry but she can't," Sabi ni Alpha Evan. "pasensiya ka na, Vanessa. Topics like these are very confidential and only Alphas are allowed to talk about this."

"But it's about my family."

"I know that," He gave me a sad and small smile. "but don't worry. After our talk, I'll update you about this case."

I sighed and nodded. Gusto ko talagang sumama at tingnan ang mga papeles na yun pero kailangan kong respetuhin ang desisyon ni Alpha Evan.

Humarap sakin si Pierre at humalik sa noo ko. I smiled at him when he did that. What he did calmed me down somehow.

"I got you, okay? Stay here. I'll be back." Malambing niyang sabi sakin.

"What should I do while waiting?" Ngumuso ako kay Pierre.

He chuckled before giving me his phone. "My phone's password is your name. You can do whatever you want with my phone."

Napangiti ako bago tinanggap ang kanyang cellphone. He smiled at me before leaving with Alpha Evan and his Beta.

I looked down at his phone before turning it on. His phone has the custom alphanumeric type of passcode so I typed my name and it opened.

His lockscreen and homescreen was me, it was a stolen picture. I think this photo was taken in a party because I was holding a red cup while looking away. What the heck, this stalker.

Umupo ako sa sofa ng sala ni Alpha Evan at kinalikot ang cellphone ni Pierre. I checked his photos and saw that it was just full of random pictures, his car, his family and me. He has a album full of my pictures! And the album's name or title is 'mate.'

I didn't want to open his messages because I don't want to invade his privacy but I accidentally pressed messages' icon. Natawa naman ako dahil tanging si Tita Jenesis at mga chain messages ang nasa inbox niya.

Well, a Wolf does not really need a phone, especially for communicating since we can just mindlink each other.

"...yes, tito. I'll tell her, thank you." I heard Pierre's voice.

I turned his cellphone off before standing. I saw them entering the living room while talking.

"No problem," Alpha Evan said before looking at me. "si Pierre na ang bahalang magpaliwanag sayo, Vanessa. Unfortunately, I have to go because I'm quite busy but you may stay here and talk. Make yourselves at home."

"Thank you, Alpha." I bowed slightly to him.

"You're welcome," He said. "Vanessa, Pierre." Paalam niya.

"Tito," Paalam ni Pierre bago tumingin sakin. "do you want to stay here or go home? Then we'll talk."

"Actually, I'm hungry. Can we go out and eat?" I asked.
