Nineteenth Moon

"Where are we going?" I asked while he was driving.

"To buy pizza and some drinks," He answered. "then we'll go back to the mansion and watch a movie."

"That's it?" I asked.

Anong that's it? Hindi ba yan yung mga gusto mong gawin, teh?

Yeah, pero kung mag-isa lang ako. It felt weird, you know. Na gawin ang lahat ng yun kasama siya.

Ooh. Kilig? She teased.

"Why? May iba ka pang gustong gawin? Or do you want to have a formal date?" Binagalan niya ang takbo ng sasakyan niya.

"H-Hindi! That's fine. It's okay. I want that." Mabilis kong sabi.

Napansin kong ngumiti siya bago binalik ang dating bilis ng kotse. Hindi ko alam kung bakit gusto kong ngumiti kaya kinagat ko ang labi ko at nag-iwas ng tingin.

We both ordered the pizza that we wanted. He was holding my hand tightly, enough to make my heart go crazy. Hindi rin ako makaprotesta. My Wolf liked this and it's actually comforting.

Oh my gosh, Vanessa, what the hell.

"...and drinks. Baby, your drink?" He turned to me.

Lumunok ako bago nagsalita. "Just s-soda...in can."

"Alright," Hinarap niya yung cashier. "two sodas in can, please." He said before paying.

Nabigla ako nang iangat niya ang kamay kong hawak niya, nilapit sa kanyang labi at hinalikan. He faced me and smiled at me. Ngumiti lamang siya sakin na parang wala lang yun para sakin.

This idiot! Kapal ng mukha na siraan ng bait ang puso ko.

Nung makuha na namin ang aming mga in-order namin ay lumabas na kami at bumalik sa sasakyan. While driving, he was holding my hand with his freehand. He would sometimes kiss my hand while looking straight on the road.

Ang mga nagagawa ko lang ay lumunok, kagatin ang labi ko at mag-iwas ng tingin.

Girl, ang tawag diyan ay kilig. Kinikilig ka. Wag nang ideny. Singit ng lobo ko.

"So, uh, what are we watching tonight?" I asked when we arrived at the mansion.

He was holding our pizza with one hand because he was holding my hand with his other hand. Hawak ko naman ang drinks sa kabila kong kamay.

"There's this movie that I wanted to watch with you. Matagal ko nang gustong panuorin to pero gusto ko kasama kita." He answered while we were going up.

I was quite surprised when he said that we will watch a movie inside his room. Akala ko sa living room lang kami. And to my surprise, I didn't protest.

He turned his laptop on while I fixed the bed and prepared our food. Inayos ko yung mga sasandalan naming unan at ang comforter na gagamitin namin. His room is quite cold. He turned on the aircon.

Nung mahanap niya na yung palabas na gusto niyang panuorin ay umupo na kami sa kama at sumandal sa mga unan. I started to eat while he was preparing our drinks.

Napangiti ako ng patago nang mapagtanto kong love story ang gusto niyang panuorin. I watched this movie before. It's about a bad boy who fell in love with a girl who has cancer. I actually had a crush on the guy but I can't openly say it because Tanner is 'in love' with him.

During the funny parts, he was the only one who was laughing. I didn't laugh because I don't find it funny anymore, natawa ako noon nung unang beses ko itong napanuod.

He paused the movie before facing me. I faced him, too. Wondering why he paused the movie.

"You watched this already, didn't you?" He asked.

"Uh, yeah." I answered.

"Why didn't you tell me? We can watch another movie if—.."

"No, it's okay. I can..uh...pretend that this is my first time watching this for you." I said.

He didn't say anything but he was starting to smile at me, like he won the lottery. At dun ko na napagtantong may sinabi akong nagustuhan niya.

"I-I mean—.."

"It's okay, Vanessa," He said before continuing the movie. He chuckled. "kinilig ako dun." Rinig kong sabi niya.

Napapikit ako at kinagat ang labi ko. Hindi ba siya nahihiyang sabihin yan?

Tahimik lang kami habang nanunuod. Meron palang mga parte ng movie na nakalimutan ko na. Kaya minsan natatawa ako, pero hinding hindi mawawala ang kilig ko dito. This movie is one the best romance movies I've watched.

When we reached the wedding scene, I started to cry. An ugly cry to be specific. This movie can make my heart flutter and make me cry ugly at the same time.

"Vanessa..." He gently called.

"Yes?" Nilingon ko siya.

He wiped my tears using his thumb. His touch was so gently and comforting. This one made my heart flutter more.

"I don't have a tissue or handkerchief that I can offer so I'll just give you my thumb." He said.

Natawa ako. "It's okay, though. I can wipe my own tears."

"I know that but," He paused, leaned a little closer. "I just want to do this for you."

I didn't say anything, I couldn't say anything. His words...actions made me speechless. He is so good at this. So good at making my heart flutter. So good at making me feel this way.

Unti unting lumapit ang kanyang mukha sakin. Kahit ako, lumalapit rin sa kanya. Walang parte sakin na nagpoprotesta sa mga aksyon ko.

I feel like this is the right thing to do.

It is, Vanessa. You two are mates. My Wolf reminded me.

Nabigla ako nung tumigil siya at bahagyang nilayo ang kanyang mukha sakin. My Wolf moaned and whimpered. Nasaktan siya. Kahit ako.

"B-Bakit?"

He sighed. "I know you still don't want me. I only want to claim your lips when you finally accept my feelings."

Without thinking twice, I grabbed his face and crash my lips on his. My heart was beating so fast and I can already hear it. My Wolf howled in delight because of what I did.

Yes, Vanessa! Claim your man! She said excitedly.

I pulled away slowly, making sure to watch his reaction. I was so prepared of what he might do next. Either he'll get mad or...kiss me again.

"You kissed me, Vanessa." He whispered.

"Do you...do you really have f-feelings for me?" Nanginginig kong tanong.

He nodded immediately. "I do. I have strong feelings for you," He answered. "what can I do to erase your doubts, Vanessa?"

I stared at his lips then at his eyes. I cupped his cheeks before answering.

"You know exactly what to do, Pierre." I replied.

He touched my chin before kissing me. Again and again. And again.
