- Only buy something if you can buy it twice. Example: If something costs $100, don't buy it until you have $200.

- If you work, put away 30% of your earnings in a separate account. This will eventually add up and you have hundreds or even thousands without realizing.

- Buy stuff in cash. It tricks your brain by spending less since you can see physically how much you're spending or losing.

- Ask yourself while shopping for big ticket items: Will I ever need this in the future? How often will I use it? Is the item you want to buy a need or a want? Does this purchase put off a more important goal of buying something else? How does this apply in my lifestyle?...Is it worth it?

- Learn to make a budget plan. Keep a planner on how you spend your money. This will allow you to decide what items you spend the most on and what expenses you need to cut down on. It allows you to see the bigger picture and can save you up to hundreds of dollars
