Ahh the selfie.

Taking over the internet everywhere.

I'll be honest. My main question about this trend that is sweeping the nation is:

What is the point?

Now, I understand that sometimes, your hair looks perfect and your face is radiant and your skin is golden tan, so you take a picture of yourself to commemorate this fine day when everything is going your way.

But what's with these people who take a selfie with every freaking thing on the face of the earth?!

"I just got Starbucks-- Selfie!"

"Look at my new shoes! Selfie!"

"Got a sixty on my math test... Selfie!"

"Eating breakfast-- Selfie!"

I'm sorry, but

LITERALLY NO ONE CARES THAT YOU ARE EATING FOOD. WE ALL DO IT. ITS PART OF LIFE.

Also, what's with the faces?

Seriously, you can't take a selfie without making some ridiculous face.

What ever happened to smiling? I thought that your smile was the first thing people notice about you.

So why are people taking pictures of themselves looking like retarded ducks?

(No offense ducks. I know that's insulting to you.)

It's not horrible to take a picture of yourself every once in a while. In fact, I think it's probably healthy to think "you know, I look good today" and take a picture.

BUT THE ENTIRE WORLD DOES NOT WANT TO SEE EVERY PICTURE YOU HAVE EVER TAKEN OF YOURSELF.

So stop. :)

The title just felt right. I wrote this when I heard the song come on the radio, btw.

I have 80 readers! Wow... Thanks guys! It means a lot. I like knowing my rants are being heard, haha....

I have eleven days of summer left. That means less rants, because I will be busy. Just a heads up.

I know I mention this a lot but PLEASE recommend rants! I am running out of ideas and I would love to cater to your complaints.
