I don't hate school.
Honestly, I don't.
But there are some classes that are quite plainly a waste of time.
Take geography for example.
I had to take this class all year last year, and it was horrible.
None of the subjects covered are ever going to help me in life! I don't care about the economy of Maldives. Why Switzerland stayed neutral in both world wars is beyond me. Do I care about Jordan? NOT. AT. ALL.
And then there's literature.
Depending on where you go to school, this may be called different names. But at my school, it's called literature, and everyone hates it.
I don't mind reading actual, honest-to-God novels with plots and conflict.
BUT I REFUSE TO READ SHORT "STORIES" THAT HAVE NO RELEVANCE TO ANYTHING EVER.
NO.
THIS IS NOT WORTH MY TIME.
I do like reading critically and looking for metaphors and finding parallels between the novel and real life, whether or not they were intentional.
But these three page stories purposefully depicting irony or context clues without any plot are incredibly dumb.
Another subject that I don't find particularly useful is "vocabulary".
Once again, this can have different names, but it is essentially the same thing.
I'm quite sure I know enough words, thank you very much.
Also, what's the point in having to know how to spell? There's such thing as spell check.
And no one even uses half of the words anyway! Who in the 21st century uses the words fickle or iota or inimitable?!
NO ONE.
So, while school is great, and I love learning, there are some classes that need to be eradicated from the curriculum.

Eradicate was one of my vocab words haha
Seriously I hate these subjects. And I'm good at them too. They're just plain stupid.
