When the movie was over I got my phone out and broke my date off. I found a nice bench in the mall and sat down. I got my phone and called Ronnie's number.
" Hey Joe! What's up? "
" Not much. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with me?"
" I'm still here if you just want to meet me here. I will wait wait for you."
I love the sound of that. Knowing that Ronnie will be waiting for me. It's the best feeling in the world . So far that is.
" I'm here too. I'm sitting at our bench."
" Okay I will be there in five minutes. Love you, Joe."
" Love you too." I think I really do love her. I hope she feels the same way. Everything about her drawls me to her. Her eyes her smile her voice it's just every little thing. I finally saw Ronnie walking towards me come to think about it she's always there for me. More than anybody else. Why couldn't I see this before? She really does care for me and might even love me. I hope she does.
" Hey Ronnie! Can we talk?"
" Yeah is everything okay?"
" Yes , there is something that I really have to tell you. "
" Did something happen between you and that girl? "
" Yes that's what I ha-"
" Joe , I'm tired of hearing about all these girls. Why don't you just pick one and leave me alone , forever. Considering that you will never feel the same way about me. I don't care Joe. I'm tired of waiting for you!!!"
I couldn't believe what was happening I was too late. Ronnie took off running towards the exit. The last thing I saw on her face was tears streaming down her cheeks.
