Part 36

Moving away from the kiss, tears roll down her cheeks with a very light blush but missing was her smile. Gauri immediately turns around and holds the terrace railing, in order to avoid eye contact with him because he will recognize her state in seconds. She tries to compose herself by holding her hands tight. Om looks at her back confused and worried. He walks to her, while Gauri wipes her tears feeling him coming closer. He turns her around slowly, holding her shoulder and holds her both hands. Looking at her face who was looking down not able to look in his eyes as she knows she will break down again in front of him and she don't want to be weak at least right now. He cups her face with both hands and make her look at him but she had put a happy mask on her face with a smile.

O: Gauri, kya baat hai? Please mujhe btao. Plzz.

G: Omkaraji, kuch nahi hua humain, bs woh..woh (wiping the tear which was about to drop) khushi k ansoo hain bs.

Om holds her shoulder.

O: Gauri... tum mujh se jhoot nahi bol sakti. Yeh baat tum bhi janti ho aur main bhi to plz mujhe sach btaoo.

G (nodding her negatively): nahi Omkaraji ku...

O (sternly): Gauri

Sighing Gauri gets some courage and holds his arms.

G: Omkaraji, aap hum se wada karein ke hum jo kehne wale hain woh sun k aap... (tears run down her cheek) aap tutenge nahi.

O (worried): Gauri aisi kya baat hai jo tum...aise?

Gauri sobs a little and hugs him tight, who also wraps his arm around her to comfort her.

G: O..Omkaraji, h..hum bim... (She was about to say: hum bimaar hain)

But just then they were interrupted by a voice.

A: Gauri

Rikara gets seperated and she wipe her tears.

A: Sorry... woh sb andar bula rahe hain tum dono ko.

G: Hum abhi aate hain.

A: nahi abhi chalo, woh Jhanvi aunty ne kuch shagun ki cheezein deni hain.

O: Abhishek, hum baat kar k aate hain.

A: Par tum dono baad mein baat kr lena, aisi bhi kya zaroori baat.

G: Acha chalo.

O: Par Gauri, tum kuch bata rahi thi.

G: Omkaraji, hum baad mein bata denge abhi Jhanvi aunty wait kr rahi hain.

O: You sure?

Gauri nods and they leave to join everyone. After reaching in the hall, everyone starts teasing the new couple and they could only smile and blush. Soon Om started spending some time with his brothers, bhabhi and friends, who were in a group, laughing and enjoying. While, Gauri sat with her to be mother in law, who was giving her gifts and shagun. However, her full focus was on Om people around her, she was staring at his laughing face and the spark in his eyes.

G (in mind): Nahi, yeh hum ka karne ja rahe the. Sab kitne khush hain aur...aur hum aik hi pal main sb ki khushiyan nahi khench sakte. (looking at Om) Aur Omkaraji... woh kaise bardas karenge... Nahi hum kisi ko nahi bataenge. Abhi ne kaha na aur test karwane parenge. Humein viswaas hai sankarji humain kuch nahi hone denge.

Just then Om looks at her and gestures her if she is fine. She nods and he gestures her to smile so she does. The evening went by with family fun and it was finally time for all to leave. Om was trying to have a talk with Gauri since he was still worried for her. Finally, when everyine was leaving by the door, he caught her wrist and pulled her in the kitchen.

G: Arre, Omkaraji, yeh kya?

O: Gauri, ab btao tum mujhe kya batane wali thi?

Gauri gets serious for a second but starts laughing, confusing him.

G (in between laugh): Oo..Omkaraji hum to aap ke saath masti kr rahe the aur aap itne serious ho gaye... Aa..apni shakl to dekhiye.

O (shocked): Whatttt?... Gauri tum sach bol rahi ho na?

Gauri nods, which irritates him.

O: Tum janti ho main kitna dar gaya tha? Yeh koi mazak hai karne ka Gauri?

Gauri stops laughing and apologizes cutely.

G (toching her ear): Sorry Omkaraji... phir kabhi kabhi nahi karenge.

O: Hmm.

Gauri tries to cheer his mood and laughs a little again.

G: Lekin aap ka chehra dekhne wala tha.

Om looks at her and smiles. Just then Rudra calls them from the door.

R: Om chalo jaldi.

O (Yells back): Haan aaya.

Om looks back at Gauri and gives a kiss on her cheek, stopping her laugh. He leaves winking at her and bidding bye. Gauri stood still and touch her cheek. Soon her eyes start tearing up and runs to her room. Closing the door, she slide down the door, hugging her knees she cries her heart out. While, Om closing the door of his room stands by his window. Staring at the moon, he smiles thinking about his day and Gauri. Screen freezes on Gauri's crying figure and Om's happy face.
