Chapter 8 What?!

Shane's P.O.V.
I was in bed and was woken up by my phone ringing. I turned around and grabbed my phone off the dresser. I looked at the number it looked familiar so I decided to answer it,"Hello?" I answered.
"Hi, yes is this Shane who adopted (y/n)?" The lady asked
"Yes why?" I replied while sitting up. I looked over at Ryland who was next to me. He gave me a confused look.
"Well (y/n) has a younger sister." The lady said my eyes widen Ryland looked nervous,"What happened?" He asked. I moved the phone away and replied,"(Y/N) has a sister." I put the phone back to my ear,"We were wondering if you wanted to adopt her so she could be with (y/n)." She said.
"I um yeah I'll take her in." I said
"Great when would you like to get her?" She asked
"Umm today's fine." I said
"You remember where we're at right?" She asked
"Yes I do."I said
"Okay see you later today." She said I thanked her and hung up.
"So what happened?"Ryland asked.
"Well I'm taking her sister in." I replied Rylands eyes went wide.
"When are we getting her?" He asked.
"I'm thinking after lunch." I replied.

Your p.o.v.
I woke up a few hours ago and dad and Ryland have been acting weird. I was sitting down at the table near the window and was playing on my phone.
"Hey (y/n) Garret's going to come over soon to hang out." Dad said I looked up and nodded. I decided to change my lock screen from yesterday's picture from when me and dad went to universal. I chose the picture of dad giving me a piggyback ride in front of the universal globe. I decided to also change my home screen of me and Ryland using the dog filter we were in the backyard standing in front of the pool. I heard a knock on the front door I got up and opened the door it was Garret,"Hey Garret." I greeted while letting him in the house.
"Hey what's up?" He asked, I shrugged.
"Nothing much." I replied, I closed the door and we walked to the couch and sat down.
Shane's p.o.v.
I was upstairs with Ryland,"Don't you think we should tell (y/n) about this?" Ryland asked.
"I mean it's her sister I'm sure it would be fine. Also it can be like a surprise." I said, Ryland rolled his eyes,"You should still tell her." He said.
"I don't know I'm still thinking it can be a surprise." I said Ryland sighed,"Okay but whatever happens don't say I didn't tell you." Ryland said while putting his hands up in defense,"Well let's head downstairs and get her sister." I said, I headed downstairs with Ryland behind me. We saw (y/n) and Garret sitting on the couch watching tv,"Hey guys me and Ryland are heading out." I said while walking to the front door and grabbing the car keys.
"Okay bye." (Y/n) called out. Me and Ryland got to the car and headed to the adoption center.~time skip~
We finally got there and was at the desk the lady brought the little girl,"This is Kat (l/n)." The lady said while putting her hand on her shoulder. The little girl looked around three. I went up to her and went on one knee to get on her level," Hi I'm Shane and I'm your new dad along with Ryland." I said smiling at her,"How old are you?" I asked.
"Thwee." She replied shyly, I smiled. Kat had (y/n)'s hair color and her eyes. They looked so much alike.
"Are you gowing to adopt me?" She asked I smiled and nodded.
"Yup." I replied she smiled so brightly it was adorable.~...~ Me and Ryland filled out the paperwork and was finally able to adopt Kat. We were on our way home but decided we needed to get a few things for Kat. I decided to go to my favorite store, Target,"Shane she fell asleep." Ryland said.
"Oh,well I can carry her in." I said while parking into the Target parking lot. I turned off the car and unbuckled my seatbelt I closed my door and opened the back door and carefully took out Kat trying not to wake her. We walked in and grabbed a cart we started walking to the kids section we grabbed a few clothes for her,shoes, and we also bought a car seat for her. We finally finished and headed to the checkout, we payed for everything and headed home. Now to tell (y/n). I thought~...~  We finally got home Ryland went inside the house first to put all of Kats stuff away. I took a deep breath and walked in Garret and (y/n) were still sitting on the couch,"Hey da-" she stopped mid sentence realizing I was holding Kat,"Hi." I said awkwardly.
"Who's that?" She asked
"Umm your sister I got a call and they said that this is your sister." I explained
"I don't remember having a sister...Maybe my biological parents put her up for adoption recently." She said
"Maybe. I hope you aren't mad at me." I said apologetically she shook her head. I sighed well that's good I thought.
