Chapter 18 The Move

I finally finished packing up my room. Once I finished I went downstairs to the empty living room. I remembered having movie marathons with dad.
"Dad can we pleaaase watch Harry Potter?" I ask while dad was sitting on the couch. I held the DVD in front of him that Uncle Garret got me for my birthday.
"I hate Garret so much right now." He jokingly says I pouted,"You can't hate Uncle Garrett." I say while crossing my arms. Dad smiled,"Yes I can. He made my daughter a wizard nerd." He says while tickling me. I started to laugh he stopped tickling me,"Can we watch Harry Potter though?" I ask again with a pout. He sighs,"Okay fine." He replies while taking the DVD and putting it in the disc player. I cheered in happiness,"This better be good." Dad says while sitting next to me on the couch. I laugh,"It's the best!" I say.
"If you say so kiddo." He says with a small chuckle. He swings his arm around me and gives me a hug.
I slightly smiled and remembered the time when I built a fort with Drew,Garret, and dad.
"No dad that pillow goes there!" I say while pointing to the right place I wanted it. Drew laughed at my actions,"Damn Shane you keep messing up." He laughs Garret laughed as well,"Stop dragging me!" He yells while laughing.
"Snatch his wig!" I yelled while laughing Drew and Garret laughed harder.
"We need a roof (y/n). What are you going to use for it?" Garret asked I started to think,"My special blankie! It never lets me down!" I exclaim happily while crawling out the pillow fort and going to the couch and grabbing my special blanket,"Uncle Drew can you put it on?" I ask Drew smiled and nodded.
"Of course." He smiles he takes the blanket from my hands and crawls out the fort. He placed the blanket gently on top of the fort. I cheered in happiness,"Thank you Uncle Drew!" I thanked him once he crawled back in. I gave him a hug,"What about us? We helped to." Garret pretends to be sad I crawled over to both my dad and Garret and gave them a hug,"Thank you guys for building my castle fort." I thanked them.
I sighed while walking past the living room into the kitchen which also held memories. This is so hard to do without crying.
"Hey what's up you guys yes!" Dad yelled into the camera. Which I was standing behind slightly giggling,"So today we are going to make an Oreo cake." He says,"When I say we I mean me and my daughter." He says I come out from behind the camera and stand next to my dad. He gives me a side hug,"So how do you want to make the cake?" Dad asks while looking at me. I smile widely,"Like a castle!" I exclaim happily,"A castle it is then!" He says then we started making our castle Oreo cake.
I shut my eyes and let a tear fall I quickly wiped it away,"(Y/n) are you going to help?" Ryland asked I looked over at him,"Umm yeah I just need a moment. I still need to grab some boxes upstairs." I reply Ryland nodded sympathetically I gave him a reassuring smiling. I headed back upstairs in my room. I started to have even more memories. Like when I first invited Emily over.
"Your dads really cool!"Emily exclaimed while we were playing dolls.
"Yeah he's pretty awesome." I say while brushing my dolls hair. Emily sighed,"I wish I had a dad like that." She says sadly. I suddenly felt bad,"Oh! I'm sorry Emily I didn't mean to!" I panicked she smiled reassuringly and shook her head,"Its not your fault." She says she gave me a hug I hugged her back,"Hey want a piece of an oreo cake that I made?" I asked she smiled and nodded,"Heck yeah!" She yelled happily. We ran downstairs together while giggling.
That's when I completely lost it. I sat on my bedroom floor sobbing. This was all to much for me. I missed her and I wish I could have everything back to the way it was,"(Y/N) whats wrong?" I heard Shane's gentle voice call out. I felt him place his hand on my shoulder. I tackled him into a hug and sobbed even harder,"Th-this place I'm going to miss it so much.." I cry Shane held onto me,"I know sweetie..I know.."
