Chapter 21 A Day With Andrew

Your P.O.V.
The drive to aunt Morgan's house was slow and long. Ryland and dad were talking about what to do and how they should handle it. We finally arrived to Aunt Morgan's house. We had to bring the dogs and Cheeto as well. I held Cheeto in my arms while dad held onto the dogs leash.I placed cheeto and my bag on the couch. Kat also fell asleep in Rylands arms,"So you guys can sleep on the couch. Kat or (y/n) can share the bed with me." Morgan suggests.
"Thank you Morgan. This means a lot and you really didn't have to." My dad said she smiled and nodded,"No problem. You guys settle in I'll be upstairs." Morgan smiled and left upstairs I looked over at my parents. Dad sat down letting out a frustrated sigh. He took the leashs off of the dogs and let the dogs roam free. Ryland gently placed Kat down on the couch to nap. I sat on the couch and played on my phone for a bit. My phone went off and saw a notification.
Andrew the Camera Dude: Hey I text your dad to see fo you guys are alright he hasn't replied. So I just wanted to text you and see how you guys are holding up. :)
You: Hey Andrew. We are with Morgan for the time being. But we are fine thanks for checking in on us. :)
Andrew the Camera Dude: No problem. Hopefully I can see you guys soon when everything is settled. :)
You:Thanks I hope things get better. From the looks of things dad isn't doing well. Hes taking it pretty hard.
I looked over at my dad and sighed. Andrew and I are pretty close hes like an older brother to me. All of us are very close like a family. We have the strongest bond a family could ever have. Even though Andrew and Garret are considered family friends I consider them family. Sometimes if I feel like I can't talk to my family so I text Andrew or Garret. I trust Andrew with a lot of things and he keeps his promises and my secrets. Hes probably the best older brother that I could ever have.
Andrew the Camera Dude: He might need to settle in and stuff. Maybe I can take you out to hang out. I know you want to get out as well.
You: Yeah that would be fun! I'll ask dad.
Andrew the Camera Dude: Alright let me know when you have the time. I know Shane's not very happy.
You:I'll ask Ryland. I'll probably wait a bit.
I sent the text and decided to make myself something to eat. I made myself a sandwich. I stood near the counter and ate my sandwich. Ryland walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder,"How are you holding up?" He asked I looked at him slightly smiling,"Fine. Umm I was wondering if I could hang out with Andrew tomorrow? I want to go out and kind of clear my head." I said he nodded,"That's fine."

I woke up on the couch and checked the time. It was ten in the morning Andrew and I decided to hang out around eleven or twelve. I sat up and grabbed my bag that was next to me on the side of the couch. I rummaged through my bag and found fresh clothes. As I grabbed my clothes I grabbed my brush and toothbrush. Once I had everything I went upstairs to change. Quietly I opened the bathroom door and changed into my new clothes.

I brushed my teeth and did my hair. Once happy with my look I walked out the restroom. But accidentally bumped into someone. I looked up and saw Morgan,"Oh sorry Morgan. I wasn't paying attention,"No don't worry about it." She giggled,"What are you dressed up for?" She asked
"Andrew and I are going to hang out today. Felt like it was needed. Kind of need to clear my head. You know? And I haven't seen my brother in a while." I explained.
"Yeah I get it." She replies.
"Maybe you can tag along if you want?" I suggest she shook her head.
"No I don't want to intrude. Plus I have some things to do today." She says I nodded,"Thanks for inviting me though." She smiles I return a smile and nod. We went our separate ways I headed to the kitchen and poured myself some cereal. I looked out the window,"Hey where are you going?" I turned around and saw dad still in his pajamas,"Going out with Andrew to hang out." I reply.
"Oh." He says I turned back to my cereal and grabbed a spoon and put it in my bowl. I put the milk back in the fridge and went back to the bowl of cereal and started eating it at the counter. Looking over my shoulder dad started making himself some coffee,"How did you sleep?" I ask looking back at my cereal.
"Didn't really sleep." He replies lowly I replied with a silent oh,"I kept checking the news on my phone." He continues,"Its a pretty difficult time for people. I hope people get better and that no harm happens." My dad says I nod.
"Yeah." I said, suddenly my phone went off in my pocket. I pulled out my phone and checked. It was from Andrew saying he was here already,"He's here I'll be back soon." I said while giving my dad a quick hug,"Be safe." He says I nod and smile,"Don't worry I will." I left with that being said and headed downstairs and left the house. I saw Andrew's car and saw him look out the car window. I waved over at him I walked over to the car and opened the passenger car door,"Hey." He greeted as I sat down.
"Hey. Where are we heading?" I ask
"Just to the town. Where all the shops are at." He says as he drove and left the house. It was a fun car drive we blasted our favorite music. We finally made it and got out the car. We started walking,"So what's going on with you? You know with school and stuff." He asks ad I adjust my small backpack on my shoulders,"It's holding up. I'm going to join a sport soon." I reply.
"That's pretty awesome. Which sport?" He asks.
"Soccer." I reply.
"I used to play baseball. Soccer wasn't really my thing." He says.
"Really? I didn't know you played baseball." I said surprised he chuckled and smiled,"Yeah I did. I kind of miss sports." He says.
"Yeah they are pretty fun. Maybe when you have free time all of us could play a sport. Of your choosing of course."I reply he smiled.
"Sounds like a plan. So where are heading to?" He asked I thought and slightly shrugged,"Want to head to Starbucks? Its right across the street." I suggested he agreed and we walked across the street and headed to the Starbucks. We got inside and it was kind of crowded,"Hey I'll be right back. I'm going to head to the restroom." He says I nod and distract myself on my phone since I'm waiting for the line to move. Then there was a tap on my shoulder. I looked over and saw man who was probably in his mid twenties. He smiled at me which I gave an awkward smile,"Are you by yourself. You seem pretty young to be alone." He says I shook my head.
"No I'm here with my brother."
"Why would he leave his cute little sister here?" He asked in a somewhat weird voice. I slowly stepped back,"I uh. He had to use the restroom." I reply holding my phone tightly and nervously. He moved his hand and placed it on my arm. I was nervous and shocked not knowing what to do. Before I could react someone placed their hand onto his arm. I looked over and saw Andrew with a mad but calm look at the same time. He held the guys arm tightly,"Don't touch my sister like that. You shouldn't be touching anyone like that. Especially people you don't know. You should leave now. Or I will call the police on you." Andrew sternly says the guy let go of my arm and yanked his arm away from Andrew. The guy left with an angry look andrew looked back at me concerned,"Are you okay?" He asked me I shakily nod my head. He pulled me into a hug and held me. I held him tightly I was so nervous and scared,"I can't believe that guy did that." Andrew mumbled the line started to move so he released me from the hug but he wrapped his arm around my shoulder protectively. We finally ordered our drink and headed out to go somewhere else. I decided to get Andrew something since he practically protected me from someone who probably tried to kidnap me. We were in a cute little shop and I decided to buy him a charm bracelet that represents family and friendship. I also got him a cute little camera keychain. Once I bought them Andrew and I left the store and walked around a bit longer. We decided to head back home. Before Andrew started driving I decided to give Andrew his gifts,"Hey Andrew I got you something." I said while going through my bags and grabbing the gifts,"(Y/n) you really didn't have to do that." He says I smiled and nodded.
"I had to. And not just because of today but because of everything you've ever done for me and my family." I said as I handed him the gifts he smiled as he opened the first gift he chuckled,"This is neat." He says as he holds the miniature camera keychain.

Then I handed him the bracelet.

He smiled,"It represents family and friendship."I explained he smiled at me and put on the bracelet,"Thanks again you really didn't have to."
" I did though." I say smiling after that we headed home.
