Chapter 22 Friends?

Your P.O.V.
Today I had to go to school. Ryland took me today and decided to wait for me to get out of school. I walked into the building and signed in. I was on my phone and bumped into someone,"Oh my gosh I'm sorry!" I apologize looking up at a girl who was wearing glasses and hoodie with light blue Jean's. Her dark black hair was up in a ponytail and her front bangs were straight across on her forehead. She gently smiled at me,"Nah don't worry about it. You have the same teacher as me right. Mrs.Avilez?" She asked I nodded.
"Yeah you do too right?" I asked she nodded,"Yup I should be heading out. But what's your name?" She asks.
"(Y/n). Yours?"
"Daisy. Well I'll let you go. I'll see you soon." She said then started to walk off. I called out her name she looked over at me with a smile,"Can I get your number? So you know we can get to know each other." I ask she nods and we exchange our numbers. We said our goodbyes and walked our different ways.I walked to the teachers desk,"Good morning. What are you going to work on today?" She smiled at me I kindly returned the friendly gesture,"I'm just here to drop off some of my packets for the week." I respond handing over my packets,"Oh okay cool. Well let me check what other things you need to work on." She says as she grabbed my packets and placed them on her desk. She started to type on her computer and found the things I needed to work on,"I'll be right back with your packets you can sit down." She says as she gets up and leaves I sat down at an open desk, scrolling through my phone. In the corner of my eye I see someone sitting down next to me. Discreetly I look over and see a girl on her phone with a bored look. I quickly look back to my phone and my phone went off.
Unknown:Hey it's me Daisy :D
You: Hey Daisy!
Daisy 🌼:Just wanted to make sure it was your number lol.
You: Haha yeah it could have been a stranger's number.
Daisy 🌼: You never know! Lol.
I smiled at my phone the teacher finally came back. She gave me the packets and I thanked her,"Remember that theres no school for the two weeks but you can drop off your work. Then the week after those two weeks is your vacation." She explains I nod,"Okay thank you." After the conversation I signed out and walked to Rylands car. He unlocked the doors and I sat in the passenger seat,"Want something to eat?" He asks
"Sure." I reply.

We finally got home and finished our food. I was currently on my phone texting with Daisy,"Who are you texting?" Ryland asked I looked over at him,"My new friend Daisy." I smiled he smiled,"That's cool. How long have you've known her?" He asked
"Since today." I reply while texting Daisy again. She asked if we could hang out tomorrow after school,"Hey Ryland can I hang out with Daisy after school tomorrow?" I ask.
"Yeah sure but you should ask your dad as well." He says gesturing to my dad who was watching the new sitting on the couch,"Hey dad can I see my friend tomorrow after school." I asked he looked at me with such a tired and sad look. He forced a smile and nodded,"Be back around four okay?" He says I smile and nod. Then I texted Daisy that I can hang out with her. I can't wait for tomorrow.
