- Accusations -Bellamy didn't say anything as he ran his hand over Coralie's hair soothingly. He didn't know what to say as she quietly cried into the crook of his neck.
When everything had died down, the exception being Coralie and Raven's cries, Bellamy had taken Coralie behind the fallen ark and away from everyone else.
She couldn't stop crying and it felt as if her heart wouldn't unclench. All she could think about was Finn and their lives before Earth.
His death felt surreal to her. She still didn't believe that it had actually happened. It was as if every few seconds she'd forget why she was crying and when she'd remember she would just cry harder.
First was Wells' passing, then Charlotte's, then her mother's, and now Finn's. Even more when including the countless of other people she's known that have died in the time span from the day they were sent to Earth to now.
Coralie couldn't think of anything besides Finn at the moment, her mind clouded and energy drained.
"Too many," were her first words since Finn's death. Bellamy looked down at her, his face etched with more than enough concern. "Too many people keep dying. I don't want anyone else to go." She knew that it was inevitable. It seemed like someone was dying every day. "You can't die."
"I won't, Sunshine," he picked up a hand to cup her jaw, gently picking her head up so they were eye to eye. "And neither will you. Nor will our friends in Mount Weather."
"We have to save them," she murmured.
"And we'll do whatever it takes to do so," he promised. "I'll do whatever it takes to do so." He pulled her back into his arms, kissing the side of her head twice. "I love you."
"I love you, too," she whispered before they heard footsteps heading their way. Bellamy was the first to see Clarke, tightening his arms around Coralie as he was not sure what emotions Coralie felt towards her at the moment.
"Coralie," Clarke sighed. Coralie felt her heart drop as she turned in Bellamy's arms. Her cheeks were still damp with tears and her eyes were pink from all of the crying. "I'm sorry," she apologizes with exasperation.
Coralie clenched her jaw before her eyes cast to the ground.
"Don't apologize," her voice cracks. "I know why you did it."
Clarke's eyes merely widen with slight relief. She was nowhere as angry as Raven was.
"You do?"
Coralie solemnly nodded, picking her eyes back up to make contact with Clarke. "His death would've been more painful if it weren't for you. So thank you."
