"Two pillboxes, just like Raven said," Bellamy confirms as he kneels behind a boulder in the gorge. The sound of rapid fire in the distance begins. "That's our signal."

Octavia wields her sword, hundreds of Wonkru moving forward at the cue.

"You feel guilty for leaving your child behind," Gaia advised as they walked beside one another. Coralie turns to her with perked eyebrows. How could she tell? "You wish you'd stay with her."

"Yeah, well," Coralie shifts the bag of arrows on her shoulder. "Nothing I can do about it, now."

"Besides fight, of course."

Coralie grimaces. "If it comes to that." So far, the gorge appeared clear.

Bellamy, who walked with Indra, looked back at Coralie, the two sharing a look the second their eyes met just as the sound of gunshots went off.

Bullets whizzed past Coralie, her eyes frantic at the abrupt shootings. The gorge wasn't clear, after all.

Dozens of Wonkru fell as dozens of the miners presented themselves from the cliffs of the gorge.

"Attack!" Octavia's shout hit every corner, rock, and stone among the gorge.

"Take cover!" Bellamy contradicted.

Coralie wields her bow and aims at a miner, but before she could fire, a sonic blast hits a group of Wonkru a few feet away from her. They're thrown off the ground, body parts flying like spit.

The ground beneath Coralie shakes and she falls to her knees as panic sets in her chest. "Shit!" she hissed, trying to get her breathing back in order as she wields the bow once again, this time successfully shooting one miner in the forehead.

Unfortunately, there were at least fifty more.

Maybe she should've gone with a gun.

Shouts and screams echo through the gorge around her and she watched as Wonkru drastically declined in numbers. The puddle from the previous rains was now crimson red, bodies lied across the ground everywhere.

"Stay low! Stand your ground!" Octavia's voice is heard from somewhere that Coralie couldn't pinpoint.

The Kane continues to keep cover behind a boulder as she lets five more arrows loose, two of the men she hit falling from the top of the rocky walls and to their deaths.
