- Ark Take Three? -"Why's it always the same leg?" Coralie mumbles to herself as she inspects her now wrapped limb. The new wound was near her knee, fortunately missing bone, and she couldn't help but observe all the scars that littered her leg. The most prominent ones were from the first official war she took place in, when grounders stabbed her with a spear and coincidentally... an arrow.
"Momma!"
Coralie's head lifts to the angelic sound of her daughter's voice. The little girl raced into the nursing tent, avoiding every other wounded person and running straight for her mother, Bellamy following close behind.
Bellamy lifts the child into his arms, so she could reach Coralie's enhanced height on the cot. Coralie stretches her arms forward, grinning when Aurora reciprocates the hug. Bellamy keeps his hold on her, so she can't sit on Coralie's lap in case it would harm her already injured body.
Her eyes close as she basks in the feeling of her daughter's small arms wrapped around her neck, her face buried in her hair.
"I don't like when you guys leave me," Aurora mumbles. Coralie pulls away to place three hard kisses on her cheek. "But Monty let me listen to his music box, so it's okay."
Bellamy chuckles, pulling her closer to him so he could kiss her forehead.
"Is your leg okay?" Aurora frowned at the sight of the bandages just below her mother's right knee.
"Yes, don't worry about it," Coralie shakes her head.
"What happened? Does it hurt? Can you walk? When will you get better?"
Coralie and Bellamy are in the middle of sharing a look when Leah and Indra walk into the tent.
"The army's ready," Leah pats Bellamy on the shoulder as Indra makes her way to the cot beside Coralie, which lied Indra and beside her, Madi.
Bellamy seats Aurora down beside her mother.
"It's time, Madi," Bellamy informs the young commander. "Everyone will follow you, but you have to lead them."
"I don't want to lead them into a massacre," she frowns.
"We have the numbers, Heda," Indra proclaims. "As long as we press forward, we'll make it through."
