- Suspicions -"I was with the queen's army heading toward Polis," Echo claims as she sat in the middle of the common room, Bellamy and Pike listening intently while Coralie and Octavia stand to the side, their ears perked. "The war chief talks too loud."
"You're one of them. So why are you telling us this?" Pike leans in.
"We abandoned Skaikru in the battle for the mountain. It was wrong."
"And won't they miss you?"
"Maybe. That's why we need to hurry."
"Pike, she saved my life. We can trust her," Bellamy assured the man. "Listen up," he calls as Raven, Sinclair, and Ace join the group. "Okay, if we want to get back to Polis before the attack, we have to move."
"Attack? How do we know it's real?" Ace questions.
"We radioed, but no answer."
"They already may be dead for all we know," Pike scoffs. "And if they are, we need to be ready to respond."
"Don't make this about the missiles," Sinclair shakes his head.
"This is about survival. We don't have numbers, but the missiles in this mountain even the playing field, and you know I'm right."
Coralie's eyebrows furrowed at how surreal Pike's hate for the Grounders was; that and his logic. Would nuking the entire capital be a solution if the assassin gets to their people before they do?
"Even if I did agree with you, we still don't have the launch codes."
"No," Raven inputs. "But we have me."
"Alright. Let's go," Pike grabbed Echo by the arm and harshly tugged up out of her seat.
"You should stay here," Bellamy suggested to Coralie, who rolled her eyes.
"We both know I'm not doing that."
"Cora-"
"We just had a talk about this, Bell," she sighs. "I can handle myself." She gestures to the bow and arrows behind her back and he closes his mouth, fully aware that she was not going to take no for an answer. "Plus, I don't feel like this is as simple as it sounds."
