- 10 - - To Breathe or Not To Breathe -
Coralie kept her eyes closed as the Rover shook from the bumpy trail, her stomach churning as she sat in discomfort. With every bump from beneath the wheels, she felt her nausea only grow. She stopped focusing on her friends' words an hour ago, too busy trying to keep herself from hurling.
The group was talking about Alie but Coralie didn't strain herself trying to hear them over her migraine.
"Eyes sharp," Bellamy interrupts the group. "Weapons hot. We're almost home."
They arrive at Arkadia not too long after, Octavia, Bellamy, Sinclair and Clarke's weapons all drawn.
"We left two days ago. Why haven't they fixed the gate?" Clarke rhetorically questions.
"Maybe because there's no one here to fix it," Jasper shrugs.
"It's like a ghost town," Octavia utters to herself as she looks around. She stops walking when her eyes land on a pool on dried blood on the ground that belonged to none other than Lincoln. "Let's get his book and get the hell out of here."
"That's a plan I can support," Jasper agrees.
Monty drives the Rover into the Ark with Raven, Ace and Coralie occupying the back of it.
"Turn the Rover around. We may need to get outta here quickly," Bellamy orders and Monty does as told.
Coralie helps Raven out of the Rover with Monty before doing so to Ace, as well. Bellamy's eyes roam the room and temporality stop at the sight of Coralie's hand in Ace's. He clenched his jaw and walks in an opposing direction.
"It's like they just got up and walked away," Clarke realizes as she takes notice of the half eaten food spread out and about.
"We're in and out. Pack as much gear as you can into the Rover," Bellamy commands.
"I'll get the map," Octavia walks off.
"I'll, uh, go with her. No one should be alone," Jasper concludes before following after the girl.
"What's the rush?" Raven asks. "They won't be coming back."
"How do you know?" Clarke inquiries.
"Alie's mission is to chip everyone. It wouldn't make sense to return to a place she already took."
