Was Never Enough

Bhhhhooooooo.....

Alyssa : Ever since that morning pillow fight, our days went to be rather normal . Blake again was busy with his meetings regarding the new project and I on the other hand spend my time doing nothing productive which kills me every day .

I was never the housewife kind of a person . I always wanted to invest my skills in a real job rather than working for behind . So I ended up on searching for few jobs here and there but as I didn't have my graduation degree in hand I wasn't able to find any job which would suit my skills .

So I eventually tried cooking for Blake but I never get to know if he liked it or not . He would leave for office really earlier and comes back late at night . Being a heavy sleeper, I am asleep both the times .

I always missed him sleeping besides me holding me to him like we use to do earlier . Now a days, I slept in my own room . Even today with a heavy heart I slept all alone and he wasn't back yet .

I woke up late and straight away went for a good long bath knowing that there isn't much to do around . I got all dressed up and headed to have breakfast cooked by Blake but got disappointed as today he didn't even made breakfast . This was new, he never forget to leave something for me to eat . I then walked over to the table to dinner left as it is which only means that he didn't come back yesterday . I was scared and tried calling him but only got a text in return

" I am in meeting call you later . " he didn't even asked me anything neither did he called me or texted me later again .

I got really upset . It was likely that he might be having an affair and that's why all these days he was coming back late and never really talked and yesterday he didn't even came back .

I guess I am not good enough for him anymore . I was always just an option and now that he have other priorities, he didn't even care about me .

I just continued my day as usual . I played loud music and danced all my stress out singing and dancing all around the house as I was all alone .

I got tired real soon but kept moving with the beats .The song kept on playing and I was just moving with the beats not even putting efforts when I felt someone pulling me from behind .

My immediate reaction was to grab something and hit the person hard . I just stiffened a bit and was about to scream when another hand just covered my mouth and pulled me more closer and said

" shhhh baby, I don't want any audience here . Let's just continue dancing " the person then forced me to move with him on the song and I just looked down at the hand which covered my mouth.

My eyes landed up on the ring that the person was wearing and I recognised it at the same moment it was none other than Blake .

He came closer to me, leaving no space in between as he tilted my head gaining access to my neck .

" do you know how hot you look right now " he said bending down a little so his face was right next to mine . I was literally pressed on his front and was just in my sports bra and leggings .

I was covered in sweat for head to toe and he thought I was hot . Half of my hair were sticking on my face with sweat and the rest were sticking on him . I might even be smelling bad .

I quickly grabbed both his hand and tried to loosen his grip on me . He just placed both his hands on my waist and turned me around so that now he was facing me .

I didn't say anything and was just staring at his features . He was wearing the same clothes as tomorrow , it was just that he wasn't wearing his suit jacket and his shirts sleeves were rolled up and it was full of wrinkles .

I then moved to his face and the moment I saw him I melted . His face looked so tired and dull . I don't even remember when I saw his face last . I didn't realise when my hand rise up on its own and was about to touch his features . I was about to take it back down when Blake gently grabbed it and placed it on his face . I looked up into his eyes which were already eager to meet mine and I don't know why but soon enough my eyes were filled with tears .

" Blake I " he silenced me with a really soft and gentle kiss like I would break if he did it with more pressure .

" I know Alyssa . I know it's been long and I wasn't able to give the time that you deserved and I am really sorry for that . I really missed you Al and I know you are really upset and I didn't even came back yesterday but from now on I'll try to be with you as much as possible . You might be hurt and hate me for this and it's okay if you want distance and I understand that you need time and ...."

And this time I interrupted him but not with a kiss I just hugged him tight . I was so overwhelmed by his words . I know that I might be stupid for accepting him back but you won't believe me when I'll say that he was the first person who actually accepted their mistake and apologised to me in my whole life . I was upset but still was happy .

" it's okay Blake but I guess you should rest for a while first and we'll talk about it later . " I said facing him .

" okay I'll rest but only on one condition " he said with a mischeavious look in his eyes .

"and what's that " I asked back .

" that you'll sleep with me in my room and not yours and that I could hold you to me and fall sleep peacefully " I just kept on blushing with each and every word of his . But I can't just show him that I missed his embrace as much as he did mine because if I did that now then he would always take me for granted and would never prioritise me and give me time .

" nope that's not gonna happen " I said shaking my head .

" I don't think so cause your eyes say differently to me and I guess they are more realible than your words Al " he said pushing a strand of hair from my face and placed it behind my ear.

" think whatever you wanna think but I won't be sleeping in your room and I am going to take a shower so let me go and I hope you sleep well " I said releasing from his hold . He just stood there with a light smile and kept on looking at me as I went inside my room .

Blake : I know that I couldn't convince her to sleep with me in my room but I'll make sure that she'll sleep with me tonight .

I don't even remember for how many nights I struggled to fall sleep I missed her sleeping besides me and the way her body just felt perfectly fitted in my embrace . I always felt complete with her in my arms even if she doesn't talk that much but the way her body reacts with my each and every touch tells me how much she reciprocates my feelings .

I quickly took a shower changed into my sweatpants and went over to her room .

I don't really like to enter this room because the last time I entered this room I found her fainted because of me . I was so stupid to do that to her .

She was still in the washroom so I get to look around her room . She didn't changed this room a bit it unlike the other girls who just transform their room into some pink world which generally smelled of roses . While her room was all neat and clean and had her sweet fragrance that I missed .

I heard her shower going off which ment, she was about to come so I just stood next to the door frame to scare her . The door opened and the moment she came out I shouted

" bhhhhoooooo......." she squealed loudly and jumped a bit . Her hair were all wet and were spread everywhere and when my eyes lowered a bit I just sucked in all my breath . She had a white towel wrapped around her which didn't hide many of her beautiful features . It's not as if I am complaining but if I stared for much longer I might have to take another shower .
