A lifeless body lay on the mattress, blood trickling toward me. My hands and clothes were covered in blood. I backed away and noticed the door was open.

In a panic, I rushed outside to catch my breath. My only thought was to escape. With people still around, I quickly grabbed a rag from a barrel and hurried out.

I woke up to the splash of cold water on my face, gasping for air as I looked around. The only thing I could see was a man standing in front of me, wearing denim pants.

I glanced at him-a stranger with a cold gaze. He wore a black cap that obscured his face, making it difficult for me to see him clearly.

"Wake up, princess"

A man walked in front of me, and I recognized him as Damian Cortes, grinning at me. I wanted to move, but I was already tied up on a mattress. My heart raced as I looked around, feeling a sense of déjà vu from what was happening.

"You can't just sleep all day" he said.

"What do you want from me? You already destroyed two families anong kinalaman ko?" I cried.

"Khian already knows who you are" he said.

"Do you really think, I let that son of a bitch find you? Matagal na niyang hinahanap si Jess, matagal kana niyang hinahanap and I wont let him get you this time" he said smiling.

"Are you going to kill me?" I asked, my lips trembling.

He smiled and, as if contemplating, replied, "Yes," then added, "but not now," before laughing. My blood ran cold, and I felt my hands start to shake.

"Now, my plans are falling into place. My guy wants to talk to you, but don't worry he won't hurt you. We've already discussed it; not this time," he said with a smile, patting the man's shoulder.

I heard the door close, and I couldn't stop trembling in fear as I noticed the man in the room. He sat in a chair, simply staring at me.

"You're going to hurt me, aren't you? Please, I beg you..." I pleaded.

He let out a sinister laugh, removing his cap. His long hair, pointed nose, and malevolent smile were all clearly visible as he looked at me.

"I won't let you go that easily," he said.

"What did I do to you!"

"Sakin? wala" sabi niya at ngumiti ulit "sa papa ko meron"

"Dexter Paz" he revealed his name.

"I heard you had amnesia, but that you remembered things over time. I understand how that works," I said.

"Good thing I graduated in Psychology. I'm not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try. Mercy will never be shown to you, Jessaine Sato," he said.

"After what you did to my father? You killed him without mercy," he hissed.

The memories of blood and a lifeless body flooded back to me.

"I heard deep secrets from you, secrets from your family" he said.

"You were diagnosed with IED," he said.

"Just like your father. But you... because of that, you killed someone-you killed my father," he continued.

"Your family has a history of mental disorders, and you're no different. Even after undergoing therapy as a child, you haven't changed a bit," he said, walking toward me and leaning closer.
