Maine

I slowly woke up, And i noticed that I can move my body well compared to before. Dahan dahan akong bumangon massaging my head when I noticed something.

I found myself on a familiar bed, a black sheet and that black and red curtains surrounding it.

The door creaks open, surprised when I saw Khian bringing a food tray.

"You're awake" he said.

"Why did you bring me here?" I asked him.

"A simple thank you would be nice, You fell unconscious. Luckily, I caught you" he explained.

"The clinic was closed, I can't bring you to my dorm and can't go to your dorm because there's a policy. Kaya dito kita dinala" he explained.

"Well, thank you! Sorry to bother you. I should go back now" I said and I was about to get out of bed when suddenly Khian stopped me.

"Do you think, I will let you out of here with 39°C fever?" he asked.

"I am not that heartless, Maine" sabi niya pa.

"I didn't ask for help, I'm fine" I forced him.

"I know, but your body needs one and you're not going to take care of it" he said.

"Maine, can you just shut up and lie down and let me take care of you?" he sighed. I was still confused and hesitant seeing the soup he made.

I just can't waste his effort. I sighed and lied down to the bed. He dragged one of his chairs.

He was mixing on the soup, he scooped a soup and waited for my mouth to open.

"I can do it-"

"Open wide" he demanded with full authority.

I sighed and opened my mouth, Hindi na lang ako nagsakita and let him do the things that he wanted to.

I finished his soup, he was about to clean up the utensils I used and I asked him.

"Khian, why are you doing this?" I asked.

"Do what exactly?" he asked.

"This! taking care of me, and protecting me from those bullies" I said.

"Bullies? who bullied you!?" he was surprised asking with a hint of irritation to his tone.

I thought he knew?

"This is about what happened to the lobby, yung dalawang babae?" I asked.

His eyes squint "They bullied you!?" he asked.

"Khian, I thought you knew already!" I said.

"So you were the victim, that's why you were wet that time?" tanong niya sakin.

"Khian, ngayon mo lang nalaman, it's kind of obvious actually" I said.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were bathing with your uniform on" sabi niya sakin.

I rolled my eyes and sighed "Again you shouldn't do that, I really appreciate the effort. But I assure you I will be fine" I said.
