Slowly but surely you were getting use to single life. The ability to go out with friends whenever you wanted, sleep whenever, eat whatever. You'd even provided cover for a term at Hogwarts but the memory of your relationship still remained. Always there like last tendrils of a nightmare refusing to let you go. During the time since the split you had dated a wide variety of guys but it never felt right. Certain features or mannerisms reminded you of Draco and so it never worked out. You wanted nothing more than to forget about him but for some reason you could not.

One Friday you decided to head out to a local restaurant. Dressed in a simple (f/c) dress and your (h/c) locks pulled back into a simple bun you walked to the small eatery. The owners had basically adopted you as you visited alone on so many occasions and welcomed you with open arms. Sitting down at your favorite table, a table for two topped with a red gingham tablecloth facing the river, you smooth the light material of your skirt and pick up the menu. Your eyes skim over the list of delicacies and order your favorite.

Whilst you wait your turn your attention to the riverside and watch the magical misdemeanors unfold. Small children running around, others fly on low flight broomsticks and adults walk along the river deep in conversation. As your attention was distracted you did not notice the blonde haired man slip into the seat opposite you. Turning back you find yourself staring into a pair of familiar grey eyes.

Willing your voice to remain strong you spoke "What are you doing here?"

He held you gaze and you found yourself unable to break it. Running his hands through his now unkempt hair he did not answer you.

"I needed to see you. I miss you. I need you, you make me better. Please (Name) can we start again?"

His answer shocked you; he wanted you to try again. A whirlwind of emotions filled your head; hate, shock, forgiveness. Deep down you knew that you wanted him back in your life again. You had always accepted him for who he was but could you deal with this, he had left you. Just left with no true explanation and walked out of your life leaving you to deal with the fallout. Draco reached out and placed a cold hand against your balled fist pulling you back to the current situation. Your (e/c) eyes roamed across his face trying to decide if he was genuine but your view was obscured as the waitress appeared with your food.

Unsure of how to answer you settled for eating and Draco remained with you silently gazing out of the window. After finishing your last mouthful you came to your decision.

"I'm willing to try again but it will be on my terms or heaven help me I will curse you so many times I'll lose count."

Quickly you stood and left not allowing Draco the chance to speak or follow. You wondered if this really was such a good idea after all. Trying again to have a relationship with an ex-Deatheater who were you not sure wanted to be fully committed or should you just call it over and try to begin anew.
