Video Games

[This Chapter does not affect the Plotline]
[Just a fun chapter since I got the PS4 specifically for the new Spider-Man game and i'm already halfway through it]

"Do we have a PS4?" Darling asked as she walked into the living room to see everyone, but Yoongi either on the couch or on the floor.

Jungkook, Taehyung and Seokjin were playing Mario Kart while the rest watched the heated competition as Seokjin was in the lead.

"How are you so good?!" Jungkook yelled as he turned his steering wheel handle which held the game controller inside of it, his whole body turning with the wheel, mimicking as if he was in a real car. Jin sat casually with his legs crossed in the middle of the two youngest men as he turned the wheel with no dramatic affect, his eyes solely on the TV screen. Taehyung sat at Jin's right side as his tougne was out in concentration as he turned his body with the wheel as well.

Darling walked over to the couch and sat behind Jin as she watched the game, Namjoon was using his laptop with headphones on his ears, his legs were also cross crossed on the couch as it seemed he was starting to make more music. Hoseok laid on the couch, his feet touching Darling's left thigh as he scrolled on his phone smiling once in a while, he was on Twitter.

Jimin laid on the floor by the couch as he took a nap, a throw blanket was over his body as he used a couch pillow.

"I wish I could like these posts, they're just too funny." Hoseok says as he laughs and covers his mouth as Jin, Jungkook, and Taehyung "shh" him, Hoseok softly giggles as he puts his phone to sleep and gets up as he heads towards the kitchen as he tries to not step on Jimin's sleeping figure.

Jin cheers as Jungkook and Taehyung groan in frustration as they drop their steering wheel controller's in frustration.

"Sorry Darling, what did you ask earlier?" Jungkook said as Jin started to grab the game controller's as he exits out of the game.

"If we had a Play Station..." She repeated as she scrolled on her phone.

"Why?" Taehyung asks as he stands up and wipes his hands on his baggy sweatpants.

Darling stops scrolling and shows her phone to them as they start to gasp and get excited.

"You want Spider-Man?!" Jungkook yelled out excitedly as Taehyung had a surprised look, but his smile wide. Namjoon looked at the three of them weirdly as Jimin started to stir in his sleep.

"It looks like fun. The graphics and the web swinging are incredible." Darling gushes as she starts to watch a video of the gameplay.

"You do realize it's in English and only two people know English fluently right?" Namjoon says as he softly closes his laptop and places it on the side table next to the couch and looks at Jungkook and Taehyung.

"Don't ruin our dreams Joonie." Taehyung says as Jungkook pouts.

"Besides how are you even going to get one?" Namjoon says as he looks at Darling questionably.

"Please Namjoon, don't underestimate." Darling says as she starts to make a call and leaves the room.

"Who do you think she's calling?" Jungkook asks to no one in particular as Darling's muffled voice can be heard a few rooms over.

"Alright boys." She yells out as she walks into the living room in triumph.

"We're getting a PS4."

"How?" Jungkook asked excitedly as Namjoon looked at the girl confused.

"My cousin had a friend who had a new PS4 that is still in the box unharmed and gave it to him, but my cousin already has one so he's sending it over, plus the game too." Darling said as she smiled smugly and jumped towards the couch as her head rested on Namjoon's left thigh in comfort as Namjoon patted her forehead.

"I can't wait!" Taehyung yelled out as he quickly ran to his room in excitement as Jungkook started to research on his phone about the game itself.

Darling entered the apartment with a large box in her hands as she kicked the front door closed. Jungkook and Taehyung scurried towards her in excitement as they eye the box in her hands.

"Oh Darling, that box looks heavy, here let me help." Darling says out loud as both Taehyung and Jungkook snap out of their trance, Jungkook hits Taehyung's shoulder lightly to grab his attention as they play Rock Paper Scissors, ending up in a tie... 3 times, so they both quickly go to Darling and grab the box, and start to fight over who should carry it to the living room.

"I should carry it!"

"No I should!"

"I should, I know the most about it."

"Yeah sure, you say that, but you can't even spell Play Station Four!"

"Take that back!"

Darling rolls her eyes as she grabs the box from the fighting men as she heads to the living room and sits in front of the TV and struggles to rip the tape off the box.

"Need help?" Yoongi asks as he holds some kitchen scissors in his hands as Darling smiles as a 'Thank You".

She opens the scissors all the way and holds the blades from the top as she drags the sharp end on the tape, ripping it as she drags it away from so she doesn't injure herself.

She closes the scissors and places them on the coffee table as she opens it, she see an envelope that reads Darling and she smiles as she sets it aside, excited to read it after she finishes plugging in the console. She takes out the bubble wrap to see the PS4 box in great condition as she slips it out of the box, she then sees the new Spider-Man game on the bottom as she grabs that as well.

She sets the game aside and moves the big 0box out of the way as she places the PS4 box on the ground in front of her as she peels off the tape with her nails. It peels with ease as it takes some of the cardboard paint with it as she opens the box and gets out the wiring and console.

She starts to plug in the console and wires as she turns on the tv and waits for the console to load as she opens the game with ease, playing the plastic on the coffee table as she opens the game holder and sees the shiny new disc, Spider-Man perfectly on it with his new suit. As the console starts to finish it's downloading process, everyone starts to pile into the room as Darling holds the controller in her hands, she inspects it as she plays with the buttons and small joysticks.

Music starts to play as it catches everyone off guard, she hands the disc to Jungkook who slips the game disc into the disc slot. It starts to download, but quickly finishes as Darling presses the 'X' button, Spider-Man appears on screen behind a red background as he poses with his web in his hands as Taehyung and Jungkook gasp in awe.

For the rest of the day, Jungkook, Darling, Taehyung, and Jimin switch turns when playing the game, Darling being far more advanced into the story progression then the others.

Jin yawns as he gets up and heads out of his room to the kitchen to make breakfast, he yawns again as he sees Darling on the couch fighting bad guys in the streets of the United States New York City.

"How are you awake?" Jin asked as he rubbed his eyes.

"I've been up since 5." Darling said lowly as she cheers quietly to a successful battle win. Jin takes his phone out to see 7:58 AM in bold white text.

"You need sleep." He simply said as he made his way to the kitchen.

"Sleep is for the weak." She simply says as Jin chuckles and smiles as he pushes the kitchen door open.
