1# The unusual friends

Chapter 5: Beck

Beck smiled at me with made me want to hide. "I swear I have seen his face before but where?" I thought frustrated. Jess suddenly stopped.

"Hey Bex," she said cheerily. I looked at her confused. "Bex?" I thought.

"Hey Jess," he replied staring at me. His beautiful blue eyes made my stomach twist. Jess pushed me in font of her.

"This is..."

"Taia, yes I know," he interrupted. Jess looked at me confused. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. Beck smiled at me. His smile look comforting and his lips looked soft and warm. My heart did flips in my chest.

"H...hello," I hesitated feeling as nervous as ever.

"Hello Taia nice to see you again," he replied. I took a step back.

"W...what did you say?" I asked. Back smiled.

"I said its nice to meet you," he lied I could tell. His eyes suddenly had a hint of yellow in them or was that just me?

"You too," I replied studying him. Miss Civerela finally showed up with her hair in a messy bun.

"Sorry class I had to help some students out," she apologised and unlocked the door. Beck quickly grabbed my hand and walked me into the classroom. Jess was already sitting at a table and waved at me. I waved back and tried to walk to the table but Beck was still holding me. "Would you like to sit with us?" I asked. Beck nodded and we walked to the table.

I didn't write a word let alone a single letter in my book the period. My mind was set on the way when Beck touched my hand and made my heart stop. But nothing was making sense anymore. Every since I met Charlotte everything's been jumbled up like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. Some of the cardboard pieces of the jigsaw was missing so you could complete it or make sense of the pitcher. Beck nudged my shoulder.

"Hey are you ok you haven't written down a thing?" He whispered. I opened my eyes and shook my head.

"Uh...yeah I guess so,"

"Ti don't lie I have called your name like five hundred times," Jess joined. I kicked her foot under the table.

"Miss Nelson, Miss Scott and Mr France go out the door now!" Miss Civerela ordered. We got out of our seats and when out the classroom. Jess grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"What the hell Ti?" Jess asked angrily.

"What are you blaming me for?" I yelled.

"You know dam well what!" She continued. My hands curled into fists waiting for orders and directions. Beck's eyes widened as he watched me.

"Jess I thinks it's best to take this outside," he suggested. Jess took a dead breath and nodded.
