1# The unusual friends

2 Years Later

Beck, Jess, Mia, Aliera and I all ran together in the woods. My heart rapidly beat in my chest. We where all together and these moment I held close to my heart. Beck and I ran next to each other, Jess was on my other side and the rest next to Jess. Beck smiled at me and I smiled back.

"You ready?" He asked.

"3...2...1!" I counted down. Then standing in front of me was Jess in her beautiful sky blue dragon body, Mia sat on Jess back, me and Beck as wolves and Aliera her dragon self too. I had grown a lot over the past year and nearly match Beck's hight. We all ran to lake and enjoyed each other's company.

"I haven't been here in ages," I said to Beck with me mind.

"Well we have all been getting ready for year twelve you know?" Be replied.

"Wow next year we'll be in year twelve then after that what will happen?" I asked.

"Never let the sadness of your past and the fear of your future ruin the happiness of your present," he quoted. I giggled and continued to run. The lake looked as beautiful as ever and the sun shone as it always had. My black fur caught the attention of the light and warmed my body. I hummed to myself. Beck nudged my should and I shifted back.

"That was amazing!" Mia stated. Her hair and grown a lot longer and her eyes more brighter.

"I know and this place is even more beautiful than I remember!" Jess exclaimed. I sighed. Beck wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

"Hold your horses you two there will be plenty for time for that but let's first have lunch," Aliera demanded. Beck sighed unhappily.

"I don't know if I can wait that long," he joked. I smiled.

"Oh you will have to or before you know it Aliera will burn your pants off," I explained. We all laughed and Aliera set out the blanket. Beck and I sat on the grass not bothered of it tickling out legs. Jess looked at me.

"So I guess he's a keeper?" She asked smiling.

"He's a keeper," I replied. She squealed and grabbed a sandwich. Mia gave me a thumbs up. Aliera looked at me confused but I shook my head. Mia got out her phone and put the radio on.

"It feels like it has been forever since you and me first found this place," Jess pointed out.

"Yeah but I really miss Charlotte you know,"

"Yeah she was really nice,"

"Oh come on girls cheer up it didn't all go wrong," Beck I interrupted. I punched his shoulder. "Ow! Why did you do that?"

"I do what I do with no question," I giggled. Beck rolled his eyes and before I could do anything he kissed me. Everyone looked at us but happily.

"Surprise attack," he whispered in my ear. Aliera's hand rested on her hips.

"I told you to wait," she repeated.

"And I said I couldn't wait that long." We all laid down and watched the clouds pass away from their spot. We called out the names of what some clouds looked like and burst into laughter. My phone rang.

"Hey honey don't forget we're going out tonight and also don't forget to bring all your friends, see you soon," my mum said.

"Yep don't worry I haven't forgotten and they're all coming, I'd wish you were telling me where we are going," I replied but she hung up. They all smiled at me and I lifted my eyebrow confused.

By the time we got to my house mum told me to get dressed in my bedroom where she had sat out a black dress. It sparkled when the light struck it. It had little sleeves and it reached to my ankles. There was also some small heeled boots and black gloves. After I got dress mum did my makeup and hair. When I next looked in the mirror my mouth dropped. I looked like a Princess but dressed in black rather than white. "I thought you suited black a bit better than white," mum explained and lead me out of my room. Jess wore a beautiful, white, sleeveless dress that reached her knees, white, sparkly sandals and her hair rested halfway on her back and looked like it was curled. Mia had her hair up in a neat ponytail with some curls resting on the side of her face, a royal blue dress and blue high heeled boots. Next Aliera wore just a simple grey dress that wasn't too long or too short, black boots and her hair was straightened so that it laid on her shoulders. Finally I turned to Beck. He wore a black tuxedo with a little black bow and a red Rose in his pocket and black shoes. His smiled sparkled like diamonds. He held his hand out towards me.

"Shall we go?" He asked smoothly.

"Go where?" I asked. He tapped the tip of his nose.

"You will find out my little pup," he teased. I grabbed his hand and he lead me outside with the girls following behind. Mum hopped in the car while I sat next to Beck. I leaned on his shoulder and sighed. Curiosity gnawed inside of me. After a while of driving mum finally stop and gestured for us to hop out.

"Have fun," she said.

"Will do," we all replied at the same time. Beck told me to cover my eyes and lead me like a horse and it's rider. I could hear Jess, Mia had Aliera giggling behind me. Once I was aloud to open my eyes my jaw dropped. Surrounding a table was beautiful willow trees with a lake surrounding the outside of them. The flowers were of all colours and literally glowed in the moon's light. Candles sat on the table along with five plates, cups and cutlery. Jess and Mia jumped up and down with excitement.

"Happy 17th birthday Taia!" Everyone called. Tears ran down my cheeks.

"Thank you guys," I hugged them all.

After three meals plus cake I was stuffed.

"Hope you can still dance?" He asked. I nodded and he grabbed my hands. Beck turned the music up. "Do you know this song?" He asked. My eyes watered.

"It's like a drum the song we danced to when I fell in love with you," I explained.

"And you I," he replied and began to dance.everyone laughed at us. When the song finished Beck looked at Aliera. "Now you may," she permitted. Beck smiled back at me then his lips were on mine. I felt my legs wiggled but forced them to stay up. Jess, Mia and Aliera awed at us.

"You are my world and I hope we are together till death," he explained.

"Me too," I replied. We joined the group again and soon after mum was back and picked us up.

"How was your birthday honey?" She asked.

"Magical," I answered and looked at all my friends. They smiled at me and I smiled back.
