You'll never open my texts and I understand why.

We were not a healthy couple together and we truly do work better as friends.

Now I understand why people break up because they work well as friends but not as a couple.

I understand. 

But even though you will never open my texts without blocking me before I can get out what I need to see.

No I'm not confessing my feelings to you.

Yes I'd like to be friends with you again.

But that's not what I want to say.

I want to say thank you for bringing me back from the ledge.

Thank you for not letting me go.

Thank you for always being there when I needed someone to listen.

Thank you for listening and not telling anyone about it, even though any other person would have.

But I didn't want institutionalized help.

So thank you for knowing what I wanted.

Thank you for respecting that.
