Chapter 33

Destiny:

"How's my grand baby doing" my mom said rubbing my belly.

"He or she is doing good" I said as me and my mom was in the kitchen making dinner and Micheal and my dad were in the the game room probably playing pool.

"That's good baby" my mom said smiling at me.
I smiled back at her

"Now the next step is marriage right?" she said peeling the potatoes

"Mama let's not talk about that right now, I'm not trying to rush anything" I said

"What is there to rush your already pregnant" she said

I looked at her "Mama I don't have time for you judge mental moments right now, I'm pretty sure he's going to pop the question soon, but for right now I just wanna make sure I have a healthy baby" I said

"Well after me and your dad found out I was pregnant with your brother, we just went to the court house" she said

I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not trying to force you to go do that, I'm just saying it's better then living in sin"

I looked at her "you an dad were living in sin y'all was living with each other before y'all got married and had Dettrick, so don't sit her and judge me" I said

"Don't raise your voice at me young lady"she said looking at me.

"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes.

"Look I don't know what's gotten into you but I'm not the one and you know that" she said pointing her finger in my face.

"Ima just go bc I don't have time for this" I said

Micheal and my dad started walking in the kitchen.

"What's wrong baby" he said helping me put on my shoes.

"I'm ready to go" I said

"We just got here are you sure your okay" he said

"Yeah I just wanna go home" I said

"Okay baby" he said grabbing the keys.

I looked over at my mom and she just looked at me with her arms folded.

"Bye y'all" Micheal said waving
My dad said bye back but my mom just stood there and then walked away.

We got in the car driving off.

Micheal turned down the music.

"What happened" he said

"My mom" I said Chuckling. "She's been acting weird lately, like she's not happy for me" I said

He glanced at me.
"Why wouldn't she be" he said

I shrugged my shoulders. " She's just been throwing slugs, because we are living together and we have a baby on the way and we're not married, she keeps taking about I'm living in sin and stuff" I said.

We made it to the front of the apartment complex and turned the car off and looked over at me.

"I understand that's making you mad, but she's just trying to look out for you" he said

"Well she can do it in a better way instead of keep throwing it in my face like that" I said

"I know baby, but ima need you to stop stressing you know thats not good on the baby" he said getting out the car and jogging around to open my door and helping me out.

We made it to the apartment and I sat down on the couch.

"My feet hurt so bad" I said

Micheal sat beside me
"Bring then here" her said
I turned around putting my feet in his lap and he started to massage him.
