Chapter 40

3 weeks later

Destiny:

"No I want it over there!" I said screaming at Micheal and Deven.

"Why can't we just leave it right here" Micheal said putting down the couch.

"Because it's ugly right there" I said folding my arms.

He looked at me with a straight face and back at the couch.

"Come on Deven" he said as they both picked up the couch again.

I rolled my eyes and walked in the kitchen to see Kayla and my mom putting the dishes up.

Me and Micheal finally moved in our house and we where now trying to fix up the house.

"You need to get off your feet sweetie" my mom said pulling up a chair for me to sit down in.

"Thanks mamma them boys in there are going to drive me crazy" I said.

"Don't they all" Kayla said.

"I know that's right" my mama said laughing.
"Let me get going I gotta go start dinner, but y'all are welcome to come whenever y'all get done" my mama said giving me and Kayla a hug.

Micheal and Deven both came in the kitchen giving my mommy a hug while she walked out.

Micheal came over me to me giving me a hug.
"Ewww get your sweaty ass off me" I said laughing.

"You don't be saying that when I be-"

I covered his mouth. "Dude shut the fuck up" I said laughing.

"Ohh y'all ain't gotta hide nothing from us we know y'all be fucking" Deven said shrugging his shoulders.

I just looked at him. "Nigga shut yo ass up" I said.

He put his hands up "Well I mean you the one with the big ass belly how we not gone know y'all fucking"

"Okay nigga we get it" Micheal said laughing.
"Baby can you make me some steak and loaded mashed potatoes" Micheal said acting like a little kid.

I looked at him. "Hell Nahh" I said walking out the kitchen.

"Find then I'll just get my other girl to make me some" I heard him say following behind me.

"That's fine, make sure you tell her to make me a plate too" I said.

Kayla:

I laughed at Destiny and Micheal walking out the kitchen.

Deven came over to me wrapping his arms around me.
"You missed me"

I turned around wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Maybe" I said

He licked his lips "I know you did" he said.

I know what y'all thinking, what the hell is going on? So let me just tell y'all, me and Deven have been talking everyday since we left Hawaii, we are just friends though he's been helping me out with so much right now like helping me get my apartment and everything else and he's been taking the kids any where thy wanna go he already has them spoiled, I was kinda iffy about bringing another man around the kids but they already knew Deven but they weren't around him as much as they are now.

Soon we heard someone walking in the kitchen Deven quickly moved of from in front of me.

"Aye y'all ain't finna fuck in my kitchen before I do" Micheal said.

"Nigga you don't know what tha hell you talking about" Deven said Chuckling

"Y'all not slick, I know what y'all doing" Micheal said walking out the kitchen drinking from the orange juice jug.

"NIGGA I KNOW YOU NOT DRINKING MY DAMN ORANGE JUICE" I head Destiny screaming.

Me and Deven both fell out laughing.

We stopped when we seen Destiny walk in the kitchen with the jug of orange juice in her hands throwing it back in the refrigerator and walking out.

We started laughing again.

Destiny:

"So I was thinking about doing something like this for the gender reveal" Kayla said showing me the pictures.

"I like this one" I said pointing to the picture.

"That's what I was thinking" she said

We heard a Loud crash so we walked in the living room to see Micheal and Deven looking at us while we were looking back at them.

"What the hell was that" I said

"Ohh uhh it was nothing baby" Micheal said.

I just looked at him, " I swear to God if it something and you telling me it's nothing I might just kill yo ass" I said walking back in the kitchen.

Kayla laugh as we sat back down at the table.

"Ima end up beating they ass" I said
We both laughed

"So how did it got when you took the kids to go see Anthony" I said.

"Girl just him telling me he's going to do better and he's going to change, I'm just tired of hearing the same ole same ole, the kids had so many questions they really didn't know what was going on so we explain to them what was going on and they actually didn't take it to bad, I just hate that we are going to have to coparent now" she said.

"Okay well I'm glad the kids took it pretty well, and Yeah that's that jail house talk don't let it fool you until you start seeing proof that he's really trying to change" I said

"Yeah your right, when I seen him I thought it was going to be so easy for me to run back but it's like I didn't feel anything" Kayla said

"That's God doing his work" I said smiling at her.

"Thanks for all those times you prayed with me" Kayla said.

"Don't Thank me that was all God" I said looking back through the pictures.

I walked on the beach feeling the sand in between my toes thinking of all the good times me, my brother and De'Savon used to have here, every little spot had it's on memory.

Like over there, were the big rock is at Is where my mom took a picture of us standing on it when I was around 8, I swear that rock seemed like it was bigger when we where younger.

Or over there where the life guard chair that we used as a base when we played hide and go seek.

And then seeing the beautiful sunset that me and De'Savon used to watch whenever we were having a bad day or just needed someone to talk to we just sat here and talked about whatever we needed to talk about for hours.

I miss moments like that and it's sad to say that I can never get those moments back.

I walked over to the spot that me and De'Savon slowed danced in that night to Aaliyah.

Soon I felt someone sitting beside me I looked over to see Micheal.
He looked over at me grabbing my face and whipping the tears from my eyes.

"I miss them" I said putting my head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me.

"I know you do mama" he said placing a kiss on my forehead.
