Chapter 39

Kayla:

I took the phone away from my ear looking at the number and putting it back up to my ear.

"Umm ye- yes" I said.

"Hey Kay"
"Hey" I said.
"Look I'm sorry about everything that happened I miss you and the kids I got the Devoice papers are you serious"

"I'll come up there to let you see the kids and yes Anthony I can't keep putting me and the kids through this"

There was a long pause.

"After everything we've been through this is how you wanna end it"

I didn't say anything I just closed my eyes tight trying to keep the tears from coming out.

"Look I hope to see you in kids soon and just think about it for me I'm taking anger management classes now I'm trying to get better for you and the kids, I love you kay and the kids"

I just looked at the phone and hung up putting my face in my hands.
"Lord please help me through this" I said

Destiny:

I walked in Brittney's and Brice room to see them up watching cartoons.
Brittney and Brice aren't like other kids there not bad at all they have their moments when they act up but overall they're good kids.

"Hey auntie Des" Brittney said getting out her bed giving me a hug.

"Hey anDestiny" Brice said till focusing on the TV.

"Are y'all hungry"

"Yes" they both said running to the kitchen.

They sat down at the table and I put their plates in front of them and went back over to my lab top.

"I miss daddy" Brice said
"Me too" I heard Brittney say.
"When are we going I see daddy auntie Des"

I paused and looked over at them trying to find a answer.

"Your going to see him soon" I said giving him a slight smile.

"Is him and mommy not together anymore" Brice said.

Kayla has been trying to hide the face that her and Anthony's not together from the kids because she wanted to wait till Anthony was here to so they could explain it to them.

"Daddy has just been busy with somethings you will see him soon" I said tell a half lie.

He looked at me nodding his head and eating his food.
"I hope daddy doesn't hurt mommy any more" Brice said taking another bit of his food.

I looked at him confused and walked over to him.

"What are you talking about Brice" I said sitting down beside him.

"Daddy hits mommy and she always tell us she's okay and makes us go in our room, then me and my sister start hearing screaming" he said taking another bite of his food.

Now I was pissed, I was in killing mood I didn't think it was that bad to were he was hitting her in front of the kids I got up walking outside to calm down.

I put both my hands on the rails standing on the back porch taking a deep breath.
"Lord I need you to please help me right now because I might catch a body today" I said.

I walked back in seeing Kayla walking in through the front door, I just looked at her with a straight face.

"What?" She said looking at me.

"I need to talk to you" I said walking towards the room.

"What's up" she said sitting on the bed.

"You didn't tell me that Anthony was hitting you around the kids"

She looked down.

I pulled her into a hug "I'm not  judging you Kay, Im just glad your out of that situation, but you shouldn't have let the kids see that, that can really mess up a child"

"I understand but it was just hard trying to leave someone that's been there when you didn't have anything I loved him hell I still do" Kayla said as tears came rolling down her cheeks.

"Trust me Kay I know how it feels, but you have kids to think about you don't want them to grow up seeing that, ik it hurts now, but at the end you wont regret it"

She quickly wiped her tears away when she seen Brice and Brittney running in the room.

"Mommy mommy mommy" They screamed jumping on top of Kayla.

"Hey mommy's baby!" Kayla said laughing.

I looked over at them smiling and walking out the room when I noticed my phone was ringing.

"Hello"
"Yes"
"Okay thank you so much" I said hanging up the phone.

I started dancing while picking up a piece of bacon and taking a bite of it
Till I felt a pair of arms wrap around.

"Back it up on a real nigga then AYE" Micheal said putting both his hands in the air.

I laughed turning around wrapping my arms around his neck and giving him a kiss.

"Your back from work early"
"I know I was missing you and my baby" he said rubbing my belly and giving it a kiss.
"Is that so" I said walking to the refrigerator to get my Oreos out.
He smacked me on the ass. "Yeah"
"That really hurt Daddy" I said rubbing my butt.
"Come to the bedroom so I can fix it" he said.
"Do you ever get tired of sex" I said.
"Not with you I don't" he said.

I looked at him for a minute and chuckled.

"What's funny" he said.
"Why don't you come to the bedroom and find out" I said popping a Oreo in my mouth.

He threw his bags down quickly following behind me.

Unknown:

"They stayed right here but I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks now Boss"

"I don't give a fuck where they stayed I need to know where they stay NOW!"

"Okay Boss I'm on it"

"And if you don't find them, your ass if fired and that's for the rest of y'all too, now get back to work!"
