I woke up on my own with a smile. Darry wasn't in bed so I hugged Darry's pillow close to my body and took in it's sent. God... this might be more then a crush huh? Who cares not like anyone's Gunna see me-

"Hey darry I- Kourtney?" I shot up and made eye contact with soda. "What the hell are you doing in Darry's bed?" He smirked and rested his back against the door frame. "No. No I can explain it's not what it looks like." I got off of his bed and walked to soda, "Not what it looks like? Really?" He looked at what I was wearing, I pulled down the shirt a little bit but it didn't seem to help. "That's Darry's shirt." I nodded, "Look soda. My dad and I got in a fight last night. I'm gunna be staying here for a while." He smiled, "You don't gotta explain, if Darry's not in bed he's in the kitchen come on." He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and led me to the kitchen where Darry was cooking breakfast. "Hey- oh you found our guest." Darry said as he turned around and saw me and soda. "Sodapop. Kourtney's Gunna be staying here for a while." "Cool with me." Soda let go of me and sat down at the table, "I wasn't asking for your permission sodapop. Go wake up pony." Soda sighed and left the kitchen, I slowly walked to the table and sat at it. "If staying here is causing any trouble at all then-" "Kourtney. I swear to you. Your welcome here for as long as you want." I smiled as Darry put a plate of pancakes in front of me. "Thanks Darrel." "Hey... why do you call me Darrel and not Darry like everyone else?" I shrugged my shoulder and watched as Darry began to make more pancakes. "I don't know. Dally said I had to call everyone sir." "But you don't." "No." Darry chuckled, "That still don't answer my question." I smiled, "Everyone calls you Darry... I want to be different, but that also doesn't mean that I won't ever call you Darry." "Different? So you choice my full name?" He looked over at me and smiled, my smile grew, "No. I got another name in mind." "Like What?" I opened my mouth but pony and soda came into the kitchen fighting over who would get the pancakes first. "Quit it you two. Kourtney's the guest, she got them first." They boys sighed and sat down at the table. "Sodapop told me about Kourtney staying here." Pony said, I looked at him. "You okay with that?" I picked up my glass of water Darry had placed on the table and took a sip. "Yeah Of course. Your the only one of Darry's girls I've ever liked."

I almost chocked on my water, Darry spilled a whole lot of batter into the pan from the sound of it and soda laughed. "Was I not supossed to know about it?" Pony asked. I looked at Darry who was trying to clean up the mess he just made, then I looked at pony. "I-I'm not Darry's Girl." "Oh. I just thought-" "You thought wrong ponyboy." I frowned at Darry's comment. I pushed my pancakes over to pony and soda, "Thanks for breakfast dare but I'm not that hungry." I stood up and headed back for Darry's room.

It's now been a whole week of me living with the Curtis's. It's been amazing, Dally came over and gave me clothes, Darry wakes up before me every morning and makes breakfast. I babysit pony at home when soda and Darry are at work and make him lunch. Darry comes home around 7 and makes dinner. It's been amazing... oh and also... Darry and I still sleep together. I can't really tell, but he smiles so much when he's around me. He blushes when I say his name or when I laugh, I know I have a crush on him but I can't tell if he feels the same back.

I felt Darry shift on the bed. "Dare?" "Yeah I'm awake." I shifted to my other side and looked at him, he was on his back. "Can't sleep?" I asked him with a little smile. "No. No really. You?" "No. Not really, Thinkings getting in the way." He smiled back at me. "Thinking about what?" "Something I wish I could tell ya." "Why cant you?" "I just can't. What's keeping you up?" "I don't know. Worry maybe?" He shifted so he was on his side facing me now. "Worry? About what?" "Well I wish I could tell ya." We laughed at his joke, "No... but in all seriousness. I can't tell ya." I frowned and licked my lips. "Oh. Okay." I slowly moved so my back was turned to him. "Kourtney. I didn't mean it as a bad thing and-" "Its okay dare. I understand." Silents fell.
