Kourtney's POV~
I opened my eyes slowly and weakly to see Dallas smiling. "Dally?" "Hey little sis. You've gotten into a pretty big mess huh?" He rubbed my cheek with his thumb. "Dally? H-how are you here?" "Just because I'm dead doesn't mean I can't be in your dreams." "Dally... I.... I miss you so much." A tear fell and he wiped it away. "I miss you to kid." Silents fell before he laughed. "So your married. Wow." "Yeah... to Darry." He smiled and moved his hand back into his lap, "I knew he was the one. You guys really love eachother." I scuffed and held my throbbing head, "He sure knows how to show it." "Kourtney you know that wasn't Darry." I sighed, "I know.... but it was, you know." "How much stupid shit have I done when I'm drunk? Huh? Shit 10 times worse then laying a hand on your wife." Dally smiled at me and I couldn't help but smile back, "Your right dal." "God I miss you so much little sis." He cupped my cheek again and leaned down to kissed my forehead. "Go back to sleep. It's time to wake up for real this time-" "No Dally! I don't want to leave you." I grabbed his arm but he pushed my hand away. "You'll never leave me baby... because I'm right here." He used his other hand to point to my heart, More tears fell as I nodded. "Hush little baby don't say a word, Dally's gonna buy you a mocking bird." He began to sing to me, slowly his voice started to fade as my eyes closed.

That's when my eyes opened for real with a sharp breath. "Woah. Your okay." A woman I recognized as Steve's mom said. "Where am I?" "Your at my place... soda brought you, said you tripped while bringing in groceries." I looked at soda who had pleading eyes for me to agree. "Y-Yeah. Ow my head." I reached up and felt cloth. "You hit your head pretty hard." "Agh." "I had to give you three stitches, so be carful. Soda all ready volunteered to bring you back in a few weeks so I can cheek your progress. You should be more carful at home though." "T-thank you." "Steve!" "Yeah mom." "Get her some Advil and water and something to eat I got to head into work." "Yes ma'am." "She can stay here as long as she likes." "Thank you Mrs. Randal." She nodded and left along with Steve, soda came over to me and sighed. "How you feeling?" "My head... hurts." "Yeah... there was a lot of blood." "How did I get here?" Soda looked away and scratched his neck. "I carried you." "You... carried me. From your house?" "Yeah." "Wow... thanks soda." Then I remembered how I really got here. Darry. I looked around the room but he wasn't there, "Where's Darry?"

Soda shifted around a bit more. "At home. I... thought it be better if he stayed there." I sighed. "Maybe." Steve Walked In with Advil IN one hand and a water in the other. "Here ya go kourtney." He handed me the pill and I took them along with the help of the water he handed me. "Thanks." "You hungry?" "No." Steve nodded and rubbed my shoulder. "You need to eat kourtney." "Well im not hungry soda. So unless your gunna shove it down my throat I'm not eating." Steve let go of me and cleared his throat. "I'm kind of with soda on this one. You lost some blood and-" "I'm not hungry, but I do have to pee." They nodded. I got up with the help of Steve and soda, then I walked to the bathroom. There I stole a glimpse of my reflection.

My eyes were red, dried blood was crusted onto my head, the cloth was tapped to the side of my head, it was a little red in the center and you could see the material of the stiches underneath it. I sighed and wet a rag. Slowly and carefully I began To clean up the dried blood around my wound. "Ow ow ow. Come on, don't be a pussy." I sighed with relive when I cleaned it all up and it no looked 10 times better. 10 times? That's what Dally said, but that couldn't have been the real Dal. He's dead, but what if it was, I mean could it be?" I sighed again and actually used the restroom, after washing my hands I exited to room. Steve and soda stood there talking to One Another, the house phone rang and Steve exited the room. Soda saw me and smiled, I made my way over to him. "You cleaned up?" "Yeah." Silents fell and soda tried to leave but I grabbed his forearm. "Soda." I pleaded, he looked into my eyes and gave me a  weak smile. "I know I promised you but I have to know." I sad, He said softly back to me, "Exactly you promised." "I know soda but I have to know. It's killing me." He looked away from me. "Soda! I cry my self to sleep ever night because what happened between us is ruining our friendship. Your my brother in law now soda, we should be inseparable like best friends and now we're acting like we hate each other.... do... do you hate me?" He snapped to look at me again, "No kourtney. I don't hate you, I couldn't'.... Hate you." "Then Why are you so Distant." He looked away again and sighed. "If I told you... you'd be the one to hate me." I laughed, "I can't hate you Soda." "Why not?" "Because your one of my best friends, my brother, your family."

"Don't call me your brother please." "But you are. I'm married to Darry-" "You don't think I know that?! It's all I ever think about." I looked at him and dropped my arm with a confused expression. "What? What does that mean?" "Nothing." He tried to walk away again but I called out to him. "Soda! Come on." "Soda!" I walked to him and grabbed his arm once again.

I was going to say more but Steve walked in, "Kourtney. My moms on the phone.... she needs to speak to you." I let go of soda and walked out of the room. "Hello?" "Kourtney? I don't listen to steve very much but I know Darrel is sodas brother and from what I can remember your his girlfriend right?" "I'm Darrel's wife now." "Oh wow, well. I called you and not soda because I have... news." "News on?" "On Darrel." "What's that?" Fear ran through me as she spoke. "Darrel was in a car crash a few hours ago, he's in critical condition here in the emergency room. I called because I knew you'd want to know and come here. They have been trying to reach you but no one is answering the House phone at the Curtis's, Have Steve drive you." I almost didn't hear her as the phone dropped. Tears ran down my face, "No!" I screamed and ran back to the room where Steve and soda were. "Kourtney! What's wrong?" "Darrel's in the hospital! Drive us there please steve!" He nodded and ran alomoat as fast as me and soda.

As he pulled up to the hospital I opened the door before he fully came to a stop, soda following suit. Steve went to go park the car as we ran in, "Darrel Curtis?!" I asked the lady at the font desk. "I can only allow one of you to see him right now, he's in critical condition." I looked at soda, "Go kourtney. Your his wife." I nodded, "Follow this nurse she'll take you to him, you young man can wait in the waiting room." I left with the nurse and followed her for what seemed like hours.

"Ma'am. Right now he's unconscious, be prepared." I nodded my head as she opened the door. I couldn't help but let the tears flow as I walked in and saw him, he was laying there with cuts and blood everywhere. A breath tube was in his mouth, so many wires and thingsbwere attached to him, and his left leg was in a cast. "Oh my god." I said softly. "Your his wife right?" I nodded not taking my eyes off of Darrel. "Well. He broke his left leg, fractured his left arm, he hit his head on the steering wheel, a few ribs are broken as well and as of right now he can't do anything by him self. Even breath." My hand covered my mouth to try and hide my sobs, "Will he be okay?" "That depends entirely on if he wakes up." I nodded, "If he does... he will have a strong chance to fight through this, if he doesn't... it makes his chances of survival.... a lot less." I nodded again as more tears fell. "I don't know if he can hear you or not but I'll leave you alone." She left and I walked up to Darry, the closer you got the worse he looked. Bruises were all over his arms and face, along with cuts and dried blood. "D-dare." I said softly and held his right hand on mine. "I'm right here dare. Right here." I fell to my knees and held his hand with both my hands before placing it on my forehead and cried.

His arm was motionless, it didn't hold me back it even hold its self up, that made me cry harder. "Your gunna be okay darry. Your Gunna be okay. You have to be okay!" I looked up from the ground at at his motionless face. "You have to be okay dare. Soda and pony they need you." Slowly I placed his hand back down, "I need you dare." It was silent for a while, besides the shouting beeping sounds from the machine.

"I forgive you for what you did. It wasn't you... it was the alcohol. I'm sure you sobered up after that, and I know you must feel awful about it. All thoes messed up thoughts about me and you running through that pretty little head of yours, but you don't need to think about that dare." I wanted to say so much more but I just couldn't for all I did was lay my head on the side of his bed and cried.

I cried, And cried, And cried. Until a nurse walked in, a different one from the last time. "Mrs. Curtis right?" I stood up and willed my tears. "Y-yeah I'm Darry's wife- I mean Darrel's." "Well ma'am, you may stay here as long as you like, I'll bring in a chair. Hopefully your lovely husband will wake up soon." I nodded and muttered a "Thank you." Before she left, I turned back around and looked at Darry. Slowly I rubbed his cheek with my knuckles, "She called you lovely... if you were awake. You'd... you'd be blushing. You'd wrap your arm around me to show that your taken and maybe when she's gone you'd kiss my cheek or my head." I laughed. "Yeah... that's exactly what you'd do." The door opened again and in walks the nurse with a big puffy chair. "I got The most comfortably one. Something you could sleep in if needed to." She sat it down by the bed and I smiled. "Thank you so much." "No problem. If it was my husband on the hospital bed I'd want someone to take good care of me, that way I could take care of him." She motioned to Darry, I looked at him as my smile vanished. I looked back at her, her smile was warm and welcoming. "It means a lot to me." "Like I said dear. No problem, now i doubt your hungry, but if you are hungry there's food in the cafeteria." "Thank you." She nodded and left. When she did I sat down in the chair she brought and went back to crying.
