The next day at lunch they told everyone about the tournament. Joey was mad that Kaiba didn't invite him. They decided to go get the duel disks after school so they could be ready when it starts. After school they went to the same place they got new cards the day before. Yugi wasn't sure about the rule about the rare card rule but he was willing to do whatever he had to in order to save the world. Lisa felt the same way. She still couldn't believe Yama was a queen. She knew there was more to it than that.

In the shop the store owner had 4 disks left. He asked for their names. Yugi went first. "I'm Yugi Muto" Yugi said. Yugi was a level 8, the highest level. Levels 4 or more could get the disks for free. Joey went next. It said he was a level 2 and a nobody. Joey got mad. Then the guy said his computer froze and he was really a level 5. Joey looked at it and got his disk. Then it was Lisa's turn. "Lisa Muto" Lisa said. "Sorry there is no Lisa Muto" the man said. "Okay try Lisa Pegasus" Lisa said. "ah here you are. you are level 8 as well. But it doesn't show your rare card" he said. "That's fine" Lisa said.

Joey had to get going since his sister's operation was tomorrow. He ran off. Everyone said to tell Serenity good luck. Lisa and Yugi went home. The next morning they got a phone call from Joey's mom. Joey never showed up at the hospital last night. Yugi woke up Lisa and told her to get dressed. Yugi called Téa and Tristan and told them Joey was missing. They all met up and split up around the city to look for Joey.

Lisa called out to him and there was no luck. He met back up with Yugi and Téa and they didn't have any luck either. Luckily Tristan drove by with Joey on his bike. They had a sigh of relief. Later that day they for the call that the operation went well. I turned out Joey was forced into a duel and he lost his red-eye black dragon.  Joey said they called them selves rare hunters. Lisa flipped. "Rare hunter. I faced a cheater in duelist Kingdom who called himself that" Lisa said. "Did you beat him?" Yugi asked. "Yeah once I got Andsite dragon out." Lisa said.

Lisa knew they shouldn't be taking the rare hunters lightly. The school announced that would be closed for the tournament. Lisa and Yugi got a head start on homework so they could just focus on dueling. As the start grew closer, Lisa was getting more nervous. She helped her father host tournaments all the time, she never had been in one.

The morning of the tournament arrived. Lisa woke up first. Her stomach didn't feel well so without waking Yugi she went to the bathroom. Then they threw up in the toilet. Yugi woke up to her puking. "Lisa are you alright?" Yugi asked as he grabbed her hair back. She could barely talk. The commotion even woke up Mr. Muto. "What's going on?" He asked. "Lisa is sick" Yugi said. Lisa was finally able to get a hold of herself. "No I'm fine, really" Lisa said. Yugi picked her up bridal style and put her back in bed. "your staying here today. I'm sorry, I can't let you duel like this" Yugi said. "No I have to to help you save the world" Lisa said. "Okay, I'll make you a deal. If you're not better in 2 hours you are not dueling today. If you are I'll let yo duel" Yugi said. Lisa agreed.

After being awake alittle bit she felt better. She was even able to keep breakfast down. The 2 hour mark arrived and she was just fine. Yugi was still concerned but he had to let her duel.

They went to Domino square where the clock was. They ran into Mai. They talked for a minute and then went there separate ways. "You know Yugi. We really can't be dueling as a team. We might have to face each other eventually. Why don't we save it for the finals" Lisa said. Yugi realized she made a good point so he agreed. He kissed her and told her to be careful. She promised she would.

Soon battle city began. Lisa found out Yugi was I'm the very first match. She saw he was facing the Rare Hunter that she faced. She knew Yugi could win. She went off to find her first opponent. "Hey Lisa" a boys voice said to her. She turned around. "Howard" Lisa said. "Hey I haven't seen you since duelist Kingdom" Howard said. "I wanted to let you know I am no longer a cheater. I realized it doesn't matter if I win or lose because having fun is more important." Howard said. "Well can I see how far you've come?" Lisa asked holding up her arm with the duel disk. "Sure" Howard said. They released the Holo projectors and started the duel. "I'll start since you went first last time." Lisa said. Howard agreed. "I draw. I play pot of greed. That let's me draw two cards. Then I play king of dragons in attack mode. His special ability let's me discard one spell or trap card in my hand and let's me get a flute of summoning dragon from my deck to my hand. Then I play 2 flutes of summoning dragons. This let's me special summon a total of 4 dragons from my hand. Come forth my three blue-eyes white dragons and my Andsite dragon" Lisa said. "I can't attack this turn so I'll stop there" Lisa said.

"Alright my move. I draw. I play polymerization witch fuses my Baphomet and gazelle to form cimara the flying mystical beast. I place this card face down and end my turn." Howard said. "My move. I draw, I play card of sanctity witch makes both players draw until we both hold six cards. Then I play polymerization fusing my three blue-eyes white dragons together creating blue-eyes Ultimate Dragon. Then I sacrifice my king of dragons to sommon Jinzo to the field. He destroys all traps. Now Jinzo attack cimara. And Andsite dragon attack directly" Lisa said. She won the duel. "I didn't even get to my rare card. But here it is. My vorse raider. And here is my locator card." Howard said. Lisa was excited that she won her first match. She knew she still had a long way to go.
