Outside the duel tower Marik asked who his next victim would be. Mokuba said he would find out when they get inside. Everyone went inside the duel tower and the duelists were told to pick a door. Mokuba led everyone else to another room. "I can barely see the top" Lisa said. Then the four duelist came up on moving platforms.

Roland explained that this would be a four way duel to see who faces who in the semi finals. They had to choose a card to see who goes first, but that card couldn't be used for the match. By this point Yugi was already Yami. Lisa knew that Joey wanted to face Marik. But she also knew Yugi wanted to face Joey so he could face him as a true duelist. The four way duel was real confusing. Soon Joey was in first place, Yugi in second, Kaiba in third and Marik last. Yami was about to attack Marik's monster since Kaiba set some traps but Joey stopped him. "Yugi I know you want to face me, but I need to face someone to save someone. You'll face me in the finals" Joey said. Yami nodded. He attacked Joey and that made him in last place. Joey called a monster and attack Kaiba who activated his trap. Joey didn't take damage but instead gave it to Marik.

Marik was at zero life points. Kaiba then attacked Joey and his life points hit zero. Joey was going to face Marik. Everyone got to the top of the duel tower. When Lisa arrived she saw Yami talking to Joey. She went over to him. "You did great" Lisa said. "Thanks. If Joey wins this, then the world is saved" Yami said. Lisa smiled. Then the match began. It was a shadow game. Marik made it to where if the monster was destroyed or took damage, the duelist would feel it too.

The duel was hard on Joey's body. His energy was running real low. He was able to get ahead but Marik called the winged Dragon of Ra. Since it was in his graveyard, he used monster reborn to sommon it. He had it transform into it's most dangerous form. Egyptian god Phoenix. It destroyed Joey's monster and drained his energy. But Joey was still standing and it was his turn. Marik began freaking out. Joey drew a card and played gearfried the Iron Knight. "Call your attack Joey" Yugi said. But before Joey could he passed out. "Joey!!!!" Everyone yelled. He didn't get up and lost the duel. Mokuba ran up to him. Joey wasn't breathing. "No Joey" Lisa said. Serenity came to him and tried to get him to respond. Tristan tried to shake him awake. Yami stood there in shock. Lisa was in shock too. Lisa could see her husband fall to his knees.

They got Joey to the blimp. He was starting to breathe but barely. The doctor said he needed to get to a real hospital. Yami stepped out and Lisa fallowed. Yami took off his duel disk and was about to give up. Lisa turned into Yama. Then Yami punched the wall. "Don't die Joey. Keep fighting" he said. Yama could only watch. Then Yami said Joey's name as if he heard him. Then his pocket began to glow. The Millennium necklace was in there. Yami grasped it in his hand and closed his eyes. "He going to be okay..." He said. Yama touched his face. They hugged. "You can't give up. The world depends on you to win" Yama said.

They went back to check on Joey. Yami put Joey's duel disk on his arm. "Lisa, I want you to stay here. Keep an eye on Joey. I'll be back as soon as I finish my duel with Kaiba" Yami said. Téa ran after him. She was trying to get him to end it. "That's not an option Téa" Lisa said. Yugi agreed. He knew he had to do this. He told everyone to look out for Joey. Duke said they had it covered.

Lisa went back to Joey. She remembered that her puzzle could also see the future. She held hers in her hands. It showed her that Joey and Yugi would eventually duel. That's when she knew Joey would be okay. Everyone was trying to figure out where the helicopter was for Joey. Serenity was crying and Lisa was trying to comfort her. She held Joey's hand, remembering the day she met him and Yugi. She knew this was Yugi's best friend.

Duke started backing up from the window. Lisa looked out and saw 2 of the Egyptian god cards in play. Tristan came back and said that a helicopter was on his way. Tristan could tell Yugi was in trouble so he lifted Joey out of the bed. He took Joey to the window. "Come on man, Yugi needs you" Tristan said. Some time passed and there was a bright light. It faded after a few minutes. Then Joey opened his eyes. "Joey" Serenity said. "What is it. Did I pass out or something" Joey said. Serenity hugged her brother. "Wait, Mai is she awake?" Joey asked. He looked over to her. "Mai wake up, you should be back by now. Please Mai. I beat Marik" Joey said. "Joey, you didn't" Lisa said. "what? No! I called gearfried the Iron Knight." Joey said. "You never called your attack. He won." Lisa said sadly. Everyone confirmed it. Joey put on his shoes and ran to get to Yugi's duel.

The doctor tried to tell him to get back I bed. As he ran out 2 paramedics came in with a stretcher. "Where's the critical patient." They asked. The doctor pointed to Joey. Joey. Tired to run off but Téa stopped him. Joey apologized for worrying everyone. They let Joey go and everyone but Lisa and Serenity fallowed him.

Lisa went to the room that she and Yugi shared. She was rather tired and she decided to take a nap. As soon as she laid down she couldn't sleep. So she got back up and went outside. The top of the tower was blank. She was about to enter it when everyone came out.
