Maine was amazing. We had amazing lobster, Ryland tried paddle boating for the first time, and we went to the local market, where we met someone very very special.

We were walking down the street when we saw him.

"Oh my gosh Shane! We should hang out with the dogs!" Ryland exclaimed when he saw the puppy adoption crates.

"Ok, sure. But we're not getting any. I can't handle more than one animal in my house." I said as Ryland punched me in the arm playfully.

We looked in all the crates and one was the most energetic and so we decided to hang out with him.

We immediately fell in love with this puppy. He was sweet, full of energy,  and very cute.

"Shane." Ryland said as the dog fell asleep in his lap.

"I know Ry..." I said sighing. I knew we couldn't get a puppy now. We had just gotten married, and we can't even afford caring for a puppy.

"We can handle it Shane." Ryland said looking at me with eyes almost the same as the dog's.

"Ok, you know I can't resist your puppy dog eyes." I sighed and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yay!" Ryland said excitedly.

We called someone over and said that we would like to adopt the puppy.

And before we knew it, we had adopted a 15 lb Labrador retriever puppy.

We took it back to our cabin and got it food, water, and a bunch of puppy pads. We figured that since he's our first animal/dog/child that we would call him Uno. The first day with him was amazing. We played outside, went swimming, and went exploring with him. And after all of that, we came in and went to bed. He snuggled up between me and Ryland and fell asleep quickly. I guess we wore him out. We woke up to him licking our faces, asking for food. We fed him and started packing. 

We took him outside to go pee and took our bags as well. We made sure we didn't forget anything and then we were off. It was gonna be a long trip. 

yay Uno!!

I'm dead inside because i asked someone out and literally they got asked out the night before. *sigh*
