We drove to Colorado, where we stayed at Ryland's moms house for the night. Uno had been so good, it was almost too perfect.
Ryland and I were better than ever. We had our own child (or dog), we were planning on getting a house soon, and we were a happy married couple.
We both drifted off to sleep after about an hour of watching Joey Graceffa. I was dreaming about Ryland. We were driving home from a date and we were dancing and singing to Britney Spears. We stopped at a red light at in intersection. When the light turned green Ryland drove but someone ran the red light at the intersection. He crashed right into Ryland's side of the car. I screamed as if part of my heart had shattered into millions of pieces.
"Please don't take him!" I screamed. "Take me instead!"
"Shane!"
I woke up to Ryland sitting up, wide eyed as tears streamed down my face.
"R- ryland?" I sniffed.
"Baby I'm right here." He said as he pulled me closer and stroked my head.
Tears continued to fall as my husband held me close.
"Shh." He soothed me as I shook and thought more about losing him.
After I had calmed down he told me what he had heard. I had been screaming, telling him to watch out and then telling someone to take me instead.
I explained the dream to him and he slowly started crying as well.
"I can't even stand the thought of losing you." He said as he cried along with me.
I wiped my eyes and gathered myself.
"We have each other now."
We left Colorado, saying goodbye to the demons we had encountered.
