Chapter 16: Lux's Plan

~Lux's PoV~

What was that? A red-haired girl with golden tips just stopped walking and I bumped into her.

I sighed. Maybe it's just my mood lately. First Ezreal breaks up with me and now we lose the first match of the season.

I see Ahri, Maokai and Jayce walking away from us, leaving me with Graves. My curiousity got the better of me.

"Graves, who is that?" I asked, pointing at the same red-haired girl.

"That's Kiera, you know, Jinx's sister and Ez's new girlfriend?" Graves said.

"Wait he has a new girlfriend?!" I said, getting upset.

"You didn't know?" Graves looked at me in surprise. "They've been dating for weeks now."

"Oh," was all I could managed to say. I walk away, heading towards the Park. I need some peace and quiet time.

That's why he broke up with me. For this Kiera girl. What does she have that I don't?! I'm prettier and have skills! She doesn't even have looks for crying out loud.

To think that Ezreal chose her over me was heartbreaking. I'll get my revenge on her. I'll just need to make a few tweaks to the problem.

I noticed Malzahar talking with them earlier with a smugged look on his face. He'll help me, if I pay him.

I looked around and saw him on a bench by himself. Perfect timing.

"Hey Malz!"

He looked up. "What."

"How would you like to help me kill Kiera and Ezreal?"

"And what's in it for me?"

I gave him a bag of 35,000 gold. Garen will yell at me for this but only if he finds out.

He takes it and shoving it in his pocket.

"So what's the plan?"

I began to tell him everything.

~The Next Day: Malzahar's PoV~

So part one of the plan was to become friends with Kiera. I sighed. Becoming "friends" with another person is not my thing. I'm probably only friends with Kog'Maw, Kha'Zix, Vel'Koz and Cho'Gath. Wow I just realized that only in that certain part of the Void, the people have an apostrophe in their name.

Anyway, would she be friends with me since I already made her mad?

I noticed Kiera at Gragas' Bar. Surprisingly, she was alone. No Ezreal, no companions.

I sat down beside her and ordered a whiskey. She looks as me in a weird way.

"What?" I asked.

"Why would you of all people sit beside me? Don't you hate me or something?" Kiera says.

"I envy you," I say quietly, looking away.

"Why?"

"Because I never wanted to leave your team. Fiora blackmailed me and said that if I didn't then she'll reveal my secret to everyone," Malz said.

She didn't question about my big secret, for which I am grateful for.

"Must be serious if you left your team for it."

"Anyway, I came here to say that I am sorry, for teasing you." I look at her in the eyes.

I didn't realize her outer beauty when she is calm and peaceful. Her red flowing hair with golden tips, her goggles placed on her head, her outfit and earrings complementing her personality.

She closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them. "Okay, I forgive you."

"So friends?"

"Friends."

Well part one is complete. I just need to gain her trust more.

We just talked and laughed. To be honest, I was having a good time. I can see why Lux was jealous of Kiera. Even more because Ezreal chose her over Lux.

I see Ez coming. He plants a kiss on Kiera's cheek.

"Malz," he said, suddenly noticing me. "What are you doing here?"

"I came here to say that I'm sorry."

"To Kiera?"

"Kiera was here so mind as well to her first," I shrugged, making up an excuse.

"But yeah, sorry to you too Ez. I shouldn't have quit nor tease you guys."

"What changed your mind?" Ez asks.

"I realized that I'd choose friends over blackmail," I said simply.

Ez looked confused but Kiera shot him a look that said, "Don't ask."

I thanked her again but only in my head. Kiera understands when a person doesn't want to speak about their lives.

I wonder if something happened to her or if it's just part of her personality.
