Chapter 2

VIOLET'S POV:

I woke up to my mum calling me as I rolled out of bed and walked out to the kitchen to see mum with a plate of food.

"Morning I made you breakfast" she said smiling as she handed me my plate and walked to the fridge before getting out the orange juice.

"Thanks mum" I said as walked to the table and sat down and began to eat as mum came and put a glass of orange juice in front of me.

"Well it's your birthday today so it's your special day" she said as she kissed my head and walked back to the kitchen.

"Morning birthday girl" dad said as I smiled.

"Morning dad" I replied as I continued to eat and drink. Once I finished I handed my mum dishes before I walked up to my room before grabbing a towel and walking to the bathroom and chucking the towel over the shower door then shutting the bathroom door. I then stripped out of my clothes and turned on the shower and hopped in to feel the warm water on my body as I began to wash myself. After I finished I hopped out and dried myself before putting my dirty clothes into the basket and walking to my room before getting changed into black jeans and my superman shirt before I slipped into my white converses and I walked back into the bathroom before getting out my medication and taking it. After I placed it back and got out my hair brush before I brushed my hair and let it fall and then I brushed my teeth. When I was done that I closed the bathroom door behind me and walked back into my room before putting on my black beanie and I grabbed my phone and the book before I walked down to see mum and dad waiting.

"Ready to go?" Dad asked as I nodded.

"Then let's go" mum replied as they opened the door and I followed them to the car and hopped in as we all buckled up and drove off to the hospital. Once we got there we hopped out and walking inside before I went and sat down on a chair while my parents talked to the lady behind the counter and I grabbed the book and opened it before I started reading from where I last was. You know it's weird how attached we can get to a charter that isn't real but we can feel what they feel and we can picture it in our heads. Like hazel and Augustus are perfect and so cute together but I couldn't fall in love, I mean I don't want to hurt a guy that will only get to spend like a year with me when they have other beautiful girls who will live till they are 80.

"Mrs. Murphy" I heard as I looked up to see a nurse standing in front of me as I placed my bookmark in the book and closed it before standing up before I followed her to get my tests done. Like anyone with cancer you would know how much these test suck especially the needles since I hate needles but you have to get use to them.

Once I finished the tests I was lying on the hospital bed because they needed to keep an eye on me so I began reading the book again to be honest I think I was hooked on this book.

CALUM'S POV:

We reached the hospital and all hopped out before walking inside to see so many people looking at us before we saw two parents walk up to us with big smiles on their faces as we smiled back.

"Hi thank you so much for coming this means so much not for us but for her because she loves you guys so much" the lady's said as we nodded must be her mum.

"It's all good hope we make her birthday a good one" Ash replied as they smiled.

"Okay well just so you know our daughter has lung cancer and her names Violet" the man said which is her dad as we nodded and we began following them to a room before the mum walked in and the dad waited with us as we all looked at each other before the mum told us to come in and we began walking in before we were all standing to see a beautiful girl around our age with blond hair and blue eyes as she looked up from her book before her eyes went wide and she smile so her dimples showed man how can someone so beautiful have such a sort life it's not fair.
