Chapter 9 Taken by a Marine

Emiko's POV

Me and Law wandered around the village, looking for some supplies for the submarine.

Strangely, the villagers were glaring at Law, and me, what did I do wrong?

"Oi Emiko-ya!" Law shouted to me. I stopped on my tracks and saw Law looking at a notice board.

I dragged my feet to him and followed where Law eyes were at.

"Look here." Law pointed to a report.

A dangerous girl named Emiko has been with the Straw Hat Pirates, Kid Pirates and the Heart Pirates.

Our marine squad also caught her using her Mizu Mizu no mi powers to attack her enemys.

We decided to set 150,000,000 beli for her head for personal reasons.

"No wonder the villagers were staring at us." I wondered. "We've no time to lose, I saw some of the marine's ship coming here!" Law grabbed my wrist and ran.

"W-wait!" I ran along with him too.

"Shit!" Law cursed.

The marines were here.

To capture Law and I.

"IT'S THE DEATH SURGEON AND THE SEA CAT!" A marine shouted.

"Attack them!" Another marine shouted. Law let out a deep sigh,"Guess we have to do this together-ya?" Law suggested.

I nodded my head and stood in my position,"Mizu Mizu no," I placed my both of my arms at my hip level, "Geyser!" I forcefully raised up my arm, making the geyser shoot out from the ground.

Most of the marines were injured, heh weaklings. "Room!" Law created a sphere around the marines. He took his katana and sliced his opponents like they were fruits.

"He sliced me!"

"Why am I not dead yet!?"

Not only they are weaklings but they are stupid.

"Don't worry, the fun isn't over yet," Law placed his katana on his shoulders and did his position,"Shambles."

I can tell you what was the first thing I saw: a mess.

Majority of the marine's body part were placed with someone elses, arms on heads, body on a barrel, heads on hands.

Then, the chaos stopped.

"This is not my leg!"

"Hey that's my body!"

The marined were so distracted that they did not notice me. "Mizu Mizu no Riptide!" I turned one of my arms into water and fired out a deady stream of water to the marines.

Screams echoed through the village. "We make a good pair ey Miss Emiko?" Law smirked.

I ignored him and focused on the fighting.

Then, I felt someone throwing me over their shoulder and running away from the scene. "Got you Sea Cat!" Damn! It's the marine! "Let go of me! LAW HELP ME!" I screamed for Law.

Law turned behind his shoulder and his facial expression changed. "EMIKO!" He called out.

He pushed all the marines away and ran towards me.

"EMIKO-CHAN!"

Law's POV

Damnit! I lost guard of Emiko and let the marine capture her. "LAW! HELP ME!" Emiko sceamed.

I ran to Emiko, hoping that I would catch up with her.

The marine turned to the left, so I followed him.

Then I lost sight of them.

GAH! Why can't I protect Emiko?!

It was just a marine and I couldn't protect her.

It's actually weird to say that,

I cried.

Emiko-san,

I'm so sorry for not protecting you, I failed my duty to protect you.
