Chapter 36 The Nodachi

Emiko's POV

"I'm going to look for the both of them." I said, transforming my arms into a pair of wings and flew down.

"O-Oi, Emiko!" Kid called for me. My feet came in contact with the ground and I undid my wings.

"Emiko-chan~ Where are you going~?" Sanji asked, flying towards me. "I'm going to look for Luffy and Law." I said, walking away from him.

"Emiko!" Kid called for me. His hands grabbed my wrist tight, tight enough to break my bones.

"Are you insane?! You're weaker than Vergo and Caesar and still, Vergo has your heart." He reminded me. "I don't care." I replied, looking in his brown eyes.

I shook him off and walked faster. "Godamnit Emiko, can you just listen to me at once!" He snapped.

After those words were heard, I ran away, I don't want him to grab me away again.

I went out of the huge room and recalled where Law was. I went back to my steps and saw a familiar door.

I opened it and I gasped in horror.

Law was beaten up badly.

There were bruises and huge cuts everywhere, blood was slowly leaking out if his lips and he looked at someone lifelessly.

"Law!" I ran to him. Law turned around and looked at me. "Miss Emiko?! Go away! It's dangerous for you to be here!" He gave all his might to shout at me.

"Shut up, we found escape and we're not going to leave you here." I said, squatting next to him.

"Go away you rat." A chilly deep voice appeared behind me. I turned my head behind my shoulder and saw the person I didn't want to see, Vergo.

I slowly stood up and crossed my arms. "Why should I?" I smirked at him. "Miss Emiko, I order you to get out of the room, now!" Law said, standing up with all his energy.

"Well if you say so." I said, slowly walking to the door. Soon, I felt someone's presence behind me.

Thanks to my quick senses, I quickly jumped to the left side as a whip sound was heard.

"You're faster than I expected." Vergo said, looking at his fists. I turned behind and saw him towering over me, I'm dead meat.

At the corner of my eyes, I saw Law skillfully picking up his Nodachi and ran straight forward to him.

"Die you bastard!" He shouted. Vergo smirked and took out a heart from his white jacket and squeezed it. "Gyaa!" Law screamed in pain, dropping himself down.

"Damn you." I muttered under my breath. I transformed my hand into a pistol and shoot him but to no avail, he dodged it.

"Law, do your room for a while," I said, walking next to him. Law did what I told him to do as I swooped up his Nodachi, "Let me use your Nodachi for a moment.".

"W-Wait, don't you know how to use it?" He asked, grabbing my leg. "Don't worry, I've been using a katana when I was young to protect myself." I smiled at him.

It was true, I did trainings with a katana. Ace and I were walking through the woods until we found a unique looking katana. He asked me to take it back so I did. When I first took the katana, I felt like no one could stop me.

That time, Shanks was there so I went up to him and begged him to teach me how to use one. He just laughed at me and agreed on teaching me.

I went through painful trainings but it was fun. He taught me how to block attacks with it and stuffs. Until, it was time for him to go.

Luffy and I were sad but still, I had gone through all the training so in the future I could protect myself.

I skillfully dodged Vergo's attack, blocking it with the Nodachi. "You're making me mad!" Vergo boomed, throwing his punches at me.

I smirked, I never knew I would be this good after years of not training with it.

Soon, he stopped punching me. Instead, he got angrier and used his Haki.

He harden his whole body, making him look like a total retard.

He looked at me and charged. I smirked and placed Law's Nodachi in front of me.

I hardened Law's Nodachi with my Haki. Vergo ignored me and continued to tackle me.

I closed my eyes, hoping that he would be sliced into half. Vergo came in contact with it as he tackled in further.

I opened one of my eyes and looked at the Nodachi. He was sliced.

I looked behind and saw him laying helplessly on the ground in two, I smirked in victory.

I walked to him and squatted next to him. I took Law's and someone else's heart from him and walked to Law.

"Here's your heart." I smiled at him, giving him his heart and Nodachi. "I didn't knew you can use a sword, and Haki." He smirked, placing his heart back.

"Who's heart is this, is this mine?" I asked, lifting up the unknown heart. "No, this is your's." He said, taking something out in his jacket and trading it with the one that was on my hands.

"And who might this be?" I asked again, placing my heart back and lifting up the other one. "The bird lady, Monet." He said, grabbing it.

"Let's stab it." I suggested. "That was what I was thinking." He smirked, taking out his Nodachi.

In a blink of eye, his Nodachi went through the heart. Blood was seeping out as he took the Nodachi out.

"We successfully killed Monet." He smirked. "C'mon, let's go to the escape route thingy." I said, walking out of the room.

He placed his Nodachi back and walked next to me.

Kid's POV

Godamnit, Emiko went out without me! What if she's dead by now?!

I stood up and accidently bumped into someone. Being me, I shouted at the person, "Watch your step you bastard!".

The person fell down on her back and rubbed her head. "S-So sorry..." She whispered timidly.

And that person was Emiko, with Law. "Miss Emiko, are you okay?" He asked, picking up Emiko. "Y-Yeah, you don't need to worry about me." She smiled at him.

I sent them a glare, how dare they ignore me. "Stupid bitch..." I muttered under my breath, walking away from them.

Do whatever the fuck you want with her, Trafalgar Law.

Law's POV

"Kid seems so, angry, do you want to cheer him up a little?" She asked me. "He's always like that." I replied, knowing his character.

Emiko walked up to a large stone and sat on it. "I wonder how's Lu-" Before she could finish her sentence, a loud voice was heard.

"YAHOO! I BEAT THE BIRD LADY!" Luffy screamed, with a dragon.

The dragon had long, pink slender body with yellow horns, he's barely the size of Luffy too.

"Oh my god! It's a dragon!" Emiko squealed, bringing it to her chest while wrapping it with her arms.

"I-I can't breath!" The dragon spoke. "You can talk?!" She exclaimed. "Yes, I was originally a human but I ate this fruit which turned me into a dragon." He explained.

"You ate a Devil fruit," She smiled at him. "Devil fruit?" He repeated what she had just said. "Yeah, a Devil fruit." She replied.

"Man, the bird lady was weak! She just started coughing out blood and died," He chuckled, "She must've kept in all her pain from my attacks and died!".

Emiko and I looked at each other and laughed. "I told you it was her heart." I said.
