Chapter 39 Killer in love?

Luffy's POV

"You okay?" I ask her. "Yeah, don't worry about me." She replied, giving me a smile.

A smile that always make my stomach flip. "But I feel a little dizzy..." Emiko said, using her palms to touch her forehead.

"A fever?! That means Emiko-chan can't play with me anymore..." I pouted.

"Let's ask Chopper, maybe I'm just having a headache, that's all." Emiko looked at me and smiled.

I nodded my head vigrously at her, "I hope you're not having a fever.".

We walked to Chopper's room and I opened the door. Emiko gasped when she saw Law...

"Chopper! Emiko thinks that she has a fever but I think she don't!" I told Chopper.

Law gave Emiko a sick smile and walked towards to her. "A fever?" He asked, placing his hand on Emiko's forehead.

Emiko flinched at his touch but she didn't move away. "Take a seat Emiko-chan, I'll check you up." Chopper said, turning himself into serious mode.

Emiko walked to one of his chairs and sat down next to him. Chopper grabbed something that could hear your heart beat and placed the two buds in his ears.

"Let me check your heartbeat and lungs, all you need to do is breath in and out." He said, placing the circle thing near her chest.

Emiko did what he said and looked at him. "Okay, your lungs and heart are fine," He said, grabbing an ice cream stick, "Say ah!".

"Ah!" Emiko opened her mouth wide and Chopper went to take a look at it with his mini torchlight, "But your throat isn't.".

"No wonder I feel pain when I try to swallow my saliva." Emiko said while Chopper grab something that could measure your temperature.

Emiko took it from Chopper and she placed it in her mouth. "Miss Emiko might be having throat infection." Law said, bending infront of Emiko.

The thing beeped.

Law tooked it out and sighed, "She's having high fever, she can't go do outdoors activities and she needs to stay here and rest". "WHAT?! That means Emiko-chan can't play with me..." I said, with negative aura flowing around me.

"Whatever, who cares! Emiko! Let's go play!" I said, grabbing her wrist and running outside.

"Oi, I just said no outdoor activities for her!" Law scolded me while grabbing Emiko's free wrist.

"No outdoor activities ey," I mumbled under my breath while rubbing my chin. "Then let's play indoor activities!" I exclaimed.

"Baka, they're still the same, no activities for her," Law told me, smacking the back of my head, "I guess that she needs to rest here until she recovers.".

"Huh? No way!" I pouted. "Luffy, you need to listen to them, they're doctors after all." Emiko gave her best to smile at me.

"You're right," I sighed, "but, I'll get to stay with her here!" I said, walking to Emiko.

"I guess I can allow that." Law sighed. "I'll go tell the others that Emiko-chan is sick!" Chopper said, leaving the room.

Kid's POV

Emiko is so innocent, I like that. "Everybody! Emiko-chan is sick!" The reindeer from before said. I shot right up and ran to it.

"Where is she?!" I asked, lifting him up. "Y-You!" He stuttered while pointing at me. "I said where is she you dumb tanuki!" I snapped, shaking him.
