Chapter 40 Sickness

Emiko's POV

I woke up to someone shuffing next to me, and someone snoring, loud.

"W-Who's there?" I whispered, looking out of my blanket, covering half of my face.

"Oh, did I wake you up? My bad." A familiar voice asked. My eyes focused on the person and it was, Killer.

"N-Not really." I replied while giving him a closed-eye grin. "You feeling any better?" He asked me, putting one of his hands on my forehead.

I shrugged my shoulders, "I don't know, ask the doctor here.". Killer chuckled at me and shook Luffy, who was sleeping.

"H-Huh, wha- IS EMIKO-CHAN AWAKE?!" Luffy jolted up and looked at me. "You're finally awake! I got bored and fell asleep!" Luffy exclaimed, pulling me into a death hug.

"Well, you were sleeping." I gigged at him. Even though I wasn't looking at Killer, I could feel him glaring at the both of us.

"You okay Killer?" I asked, pulling Luffy away. "Huh, yeah, I'm fine." Killer replied, looking away.

"I'll go tell Kid you're awake." Law said, leaving the room. "Yeah, sure." I coughed out.

"Here's some water." Killer and Luffy said in sync while grabbing a cup of water, together.

Killer and Luffy looked at each other and started sending daggers to each other

"Why thank you." I awkwardly laughed, grabbing the cup and drank it.

The door opened and there stood Kid and Law. "Hey Killer." Kid greeted him and walked to me.

"Feeling any better?" He said, walking to me. "To be honest, I still feel sick." I groaned, sipping my cup.

"EMIKO-CHWAN~! I COOKED MISO SOUP FOR YOU~!" Sanji shouted, dancing to me.

"Thank you, Sanji-kun." I giggled, taking the bowl from him. His nose bled as he got out of the door.

"What a pervert he is." Law chuckled. "Even Emiko's trying to contain her screams after he scared the living life out of her." Kid nudged Law.

"Don't be mean." I told them. "Well, I'm so sorry." Kid sarcastically said. I sighed and drank the soup.

"Uwaa, it looks so delicious." Luffy mumbled under his breath. "Wanna drink it with me?" I smiled, putting the spoon infront of his face.

Luffy face brightened up and went closer to me. Before his lips touched the spoon, a voice disturbed us.

"Emiko, you're going to spread your fever to Luffy if you're going to spread your sickness to him." Law said, looking at me.

"Oh, sorry." I replied, placing the spoon back at it's place. I awkwardly stared at my soup as I stirred it with my spoon.

I felt so awkward because I could feel their stares piercing right through me.

I looked up and saw the four of them staring at me. "Can I help you with something?" I asked, trying to be nice.

"I wanna drink your soup Emiko..." Luffy moaned.

"Nothing." The three boys said in sync. Soon, I lost my appetite and put my bowl down because they kept staring at me.

"I don't feel like eating anymore." I said, holding my stomach pretending that I could not hold much longer.

Law let out a deep sigh and went to Chopper's table, "You'll be taking your medicine then.".

I watched Law steps as he grab a syringe filled with disgusting, green liquid.

Law placed the syringe infront of my face and looked at me, "Open your mouth.".

I did what he told me and pressed the liquid in my mouth.

I could describe this liquid in one thing,

It tasted like shit.

I scrunched up my face as I grabbed a cup of water and drank it. "I could tell that the medicine taste bad." Kid snickered.

I drank all the water and let out a sigh, it tasted badder than bad. "Emiko-chan, did the medicine taste good?" Luffy asked, licking the tip of the syringe.

Kid's, Killer's, Law's jaw dropped to the ground. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?! YOU'RE GOING TO GET SICK YOU IDIOT!" Law shouted, slapping the syringe away from his hands.

"Bleh, it taste disgusting." Luffy sticked out his tongue, completely ignoring Law's statement.

I giggled at the boys, they're so weird. "Why the hell are you laughing?!" Kid snapped, walking towards me.

I stayed calm, I knew what to do in this kind of situation,

Which is to panic.

I could feel my sweat flowing down my forehead and back, I was dead meat.

"Captain Kid, don't scare Emiko like that, she's just a girl." Killer defended me while protecting me from him. "Yeah Kid, what happened to you two? I thought you were treating her better than ever?" Law said, smirking at him.

"Shut the fuck up Trafucker!" He boomed, turning his gaze to Law. "Calm your man-tits Kid." He said, raising both of his palms.

"Is he always like this?" Luffy asked, whispering to Killer. "You have no idea." Killer replied.

"Emiko-chan, you should go back to sleep again, you want to heal faster so we can continue our voyage right?" Law said, ignoribg Kid's scary glances.

"Yeah, you're right." I replied, plopping down the bed. "Goodnight Emiko." Killer said, tucking me in.

"Thank you, Killer-sama." I replied, giving him one of my common smile. He stared at me and quickly looked away.

I giggled at his silliness, not long, I fell asleep.
