Chapter 20 Emiko vs Law

Emiko's POV

I really meant what I said.

"Well, if you say so," Law smirked and took out his Nodachi. "I saw your training yesterday and I was surprised," He walked around me. "But it's not powerful enough to beat me!" He smirked, but it wasn't the smirk I used to know, that smirks looks, fake.

"You hadn't seen my full powers yet." I glared at him while tying my hair into a ponytail, "Let's see about that, Miss Emiko," He positioned his fingers, "Room!" The familiar blue sphere surrounded us.

He took his Nodachi and sliced the air, good thing I knew his moves.

I skillfully dodged from the attacks while the rocks were sliced like fruits. "Looks like you didn't fall this time." He smirked.

"Shut up!" I snapped. "Why the long face Miss Emiko?" He teased, I knew that he purposely wanted to get on my nerves so that he can take his chance.

He took his Nodachi and sliced again. Stupid idiot, I'm a water human. "Oi oi, you better move if not you'll get sliced." He told me.

"Heh, don't worry, I won't get sliced by you!" I said while I transformed myself into my liquid state. The slice went through my body like it was nothing.

"I'm impressed Miss Emiko!" He clapped his hands. "SHUT UP!" Then, I ran towards him, raising my feet up feet up to beat the shit out of him. "Whip!" I turned my leg into a water whip and wacked him.

But to my disgrace, he dodged it. He lift his fingers up and lift it, I saw that move before. I dodged the rocks, coming in my way while coming closer to him.

His hat was covering his eyes, like he pretended he didn't see a thing. "You stupid idiot! Do you think I would fall for that?!" I backed off.

"Miss Emiko... I'm so sorry..." Wow, now he's apologising. Some part of me wanted to comfort him while some part of me wanted to kill him right at the spot.

I slowly walked towards him, not sure whether I should really go near him. "For you!" Then, he raised up his Nodachi and sliced me, but instead, he sliced my hair.

Who cares? It's good that I dodged that attack!

"I'm not that stupid Trafalgar Law," I glared at him, "Or should I say, Trafucker Law?" I smirked.

He undid the room and went straight towards me. He raised his Nodachi, trying to slice me but it was useless, I was a water human. Then I remembered, there was a lake.

I ran to the lake and gathered some water, Law saw it and ran towards me. Shit shit shit shit! I better hurry up!

"You forgot that I could teleport Miss Emiko." Then, someone's shoe came in contact on the side of my stomach, hard.

"Gah!" I groaned, coughing out blood and hit the ground. "You sure are weak," Law said, grabbing my chin roughly ," And pathetic.".

I collected enough water and I'm ready to go. "Mizu Mizu no," I slowly got up and spread my arms, "Wings!" I transformed my arms into bird wings, except the fact that it was larger than a dragon wing.

I flapped my new wings in the sky and saw Law staring at me with shocked eyes but soon replaced it with a sly smirk.

"You sure don't know when to give up, don't you?" He said, doing the room thingy and teleported to me. Stupid boy.

He grabbed my shoulder and tried to send me down but it was useless, I undid my wings and climbed on top of Law.

Law didn't knew what was happening because he was dumb. Now, we were falling from the sky. "Mizu Mizu no," I raised my legs up again and gathered water from the wings. "AXE!" Then, I roughly hit his back as he was sent down flying.

I transformed my arms into a pair of wings and flew down with Law.

BOOM!

I loud crash from Law was heard. The impact was big so that the wind were rough and blew away the tree leaves.

I made my way to Law and sat next to him.

I won.

Blood trickled down his forehead and his head turned to me, but something was weird.

He wasn't that weak.

"E-Em..iko," He croaked out. "I k...ept my pro...mise," He did his best to smile. What? Is killing me called a promise? "I'm sorry about your hair Emiko... I had to lose in order to protect you." He used all his might and sat up. He looked at me as his raised his palms, oh shit.

I flinched, knowing that he would hit me. But, instead of that, his palms were on my cheeks while caressing it with his thumb. I was shocked.

He took my other hand away with his free arm and wiped away the blood which is coming from my lips.

"B-But why? Why did you do that?" I asked him while my tears rolled down on my cheeks. Law ignored me and wiped the tear away.

I bit my lips, refraining myself to not cry. Soon, he crashed himself into me. "I'm so sorry!" He sobbed into my shoulder and cried.

Trafalgar Law? Crying?

He was hugging me really tight, like a snake. I can't comprehend what was happening.

"I'm so sorry Emiko, I didn't mean to hurt you! I wanted to protect you from someone! That's all!" He sobbed.

"Who's that someone?" I asked him, pulling him back as I stared into his eyes.

"I-I can't tell you." He looked back at me with puffy red eyes.

"It's okay Law, I understand." I hugged him back and let him cry on my shoulder.
