Chapter 48 The Phoenix

Emiko's POV

"Will you be my pirate queen?" Kid asked, hoping that I would give him a positive reply.

"I-I," I stuttered. I took in a deep breath and spoke, "I don't know, if I reject you you'll feel sad but if I said yes, I don't really know what would happen.".

"It's okay Emiko, you can take your time." Kid replied while he smiled at me.

I nodded my head at him as I looked away from him. "We need to go now, Kid." I told him. Kid let out an okay and started to drive to the submarine.

We reached Sunny as we hopped off the shark. "Where's Luffy?" Franky asked. "They're battling this guy that commands us to do something because of this thing." Kid replied, pointing at the collar.

Franky let out an okay as we walked away. "Let me bring you to my ship, where you'll be wearing your clothes." He said, carrying me to his ship.

While we were walking to the ship, I remembered that there was a rope connecting it. "Hey, wait." I said. "Yeah?" He asked.

"We can't walk to your ship because there's only a rope surpporting it." I said.

Until I thought of a plan.

"How about I fly to your ship while you grab my legs?" I asked him. "Are you insane?" He asked. "Well, it's the only way to get through, let's just hope that I don't drop you down and die." I replied. "Please don't say that." He said.

I transformed my arms into wings as I flew above him. "Grab my legs." I told him. He grabbed near my ankle as I flew off.

I swear this guy's so heavy.

"Can you go any faster? My hands are tired," He asked. "So are my legs." I replied. "I have a feeling that I'm gonna die." He chuckled.

"We're almost there." I panted. Kid looked up at me and smirked evily, "Stop here." He demanded me.

"What, why?" I asked, stopping on my tracks. "Don't move or anything." He said.

He swang himself back and forth, which really startled me. "H-Hey! What I meant by we're already here doesn't mean that we're close!" I said.

Kid ignored me and flew to the ship. "HA, LET'S SEE ABOUT THAT!" He shouted.

When he looked down, he was still above the sea. "Oh fuck." He mumbled.

While he dropped down the sea, I sighed. I flew down and went to grab him using my fe- wait.

WHY DO I HAVE FREAKING BIRD FEETS.

It didn't really have water surrounding it. I grabbed him by the shoulder and flew to his ship.

I landed on Kid's ship and looked at him. "I thought I was going to die there." He said, catching his breath.

I looked down and checked out my feet, why was I a bird?

"Looks like you discovered a new power," Kid said. "It can't be, I ate the Mizu Mizu no mi, so I can't transform into a bird!" I said. "Maybe you ate something else," He replied, "try transforming into a water bird or something.".

"But I don't know how!" I said.

"Think of the bird you dumbass." He chuckled.

I thought of the bird, with blue like-flames surrounding it.

Then, I felt my head getting smaller as my body transformed into something more lighter.

I opened myself and saw Kid staring at me. "Y-You're not an ordinary bird," He whispered, "You look like a, Phoenix, a water type one.".
