Chapter 42 The Silent Treatment

Emiko's POV

Beep Beep, Beep Beep

The thermometer beeped and Law took it out from my mouth. He looked at it and his eyes widen.

"Your fever's gone, by one day, I expected the fever to last about two or three days." He said, putting it on the table.

Probably it's Ace doing, or maybe not.

"Thank you, Ace." I whispered when Law got out of the room.

"EMIKO-CHAN! YOU'RE ALIVE!" Luffy barged in the room and tackled me to the bed.

Luffy wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his face on the bed. "Yeah, I am." I giggled at him.

"Are you a zombie?!" Luffy shouted, pushing me away. "She's not you fucktard." Kid said, slapping the back of his head.

"I'll be out for a while." I said, walking out of the room and went to the deck.

I rested my elbow on the railings and rested my chin on the palm of my hand.

I daydreamed about Ace, my brother.

I looked up the blue sky and stared up there. "What do you mean there's boys admiring me, Ace?" I asked him, hoping that he could hear me.

Not long, my mind went blank.

All I could see was darkness around me. "W-What?" I looked around my surroundings.

The room lit up as the light blinded my eyes. I adjusted my eyes to the light and looked to my surroundings.

The place was so familiar.

I was on Kid's ship.

"Kid?" I called out for him.

"Here's the chain." I heard Kid's voice. "Kid!" I called out for him and ran to the direction of the voice.

I came to a halt and saw, me.

I was chained up like how the slavedrivers did to me. Kid passed Killer the chain that leads to my collar and pulled me to somewhere.

I followed them and stood infront of them. They didn't saw me and walked pass through me like I was a ghost.

The place went black and another scene apeared again.

This time I was on Luffy's ship, Sunny.

A flashbulb apeared above my head and I went to the deck. "Sugoi~ it's real!" Luffy voice went louder and louder while I went nearer to the voice.

I stopped infront of a scene where Luffy was playing with my ears and tail.

I smiled at the scene.

"This is so cool." I whispered, bending down beside me and Luffy.

The place went black again and I was a dull place apeared, I was in Law's submarine.

I heard the sound of boots tapping as I turned my head behind my shoulder, it was Law.

"Captain so what did the lady look like?"

"I hope the lady has a sexy body!"

Shachi and Penguin stood infront of my disguise.

"U-ur, go back to work!" I shouted at the two of them. "Ok." And ran into their position.

"Wait!" My body said, jogging after them. "Yes Captain?" Penguin asked.

"I might be forgetful at times but do you know where's the exit?" I lied to them.

"Yeah but currently we're in the water, are you sure you want to come up to the surface?" Penguin asked. "Ye-" Before I could finish my sentence, Law's voice shouted across the hall.

"SHACHI! PENGUIN! DON'T LISTEN TO THE FAKE!" Law ran to our direction. My figure turned around and frowned.

"H-huh? Why are there two captains? How can we tell which one is the real one?" Shachi pondered.

Law smirked as he lifted up one of his fingers. "Room" The sphere apeared.

"Uh-uh..." I awkwardly stood there. "SO YOU'RE THE FAKE ONE!" The two of them pointed at me.

I giggled at the scene.

I was brought back to the pitch back room again. "Do you understand now Emiko?" Ace voice's apeared.

"A-Ace!" I said, looking up high and low for him.

Soon, I was brought back to the real world.

I gasped and my covered my mouth with my hands.

Don't tell me the three boys admire me.

What can I seriously do to make them stop liking me. Tell them to stop liking me?

The best I could do is to ignore them. "Hey, Miss Emiko, you feeling okay?" And there goes my luck.

I looked beside my shoulder and looked at Law walking towards me.

I sighed and left the place. "Miss Emiko, where are you going?" Law asked, following me like a lost puppy.

I walked faster away from him. "Why are ignoring me? Did I do anything to you?" Law asked again, grabbing my shoulder and turned me around.

Two hands grabbed both of my arms, preventing me from walking away from him.

I looked at him and immediately looked away, turning my head somewhere else.

"Well, I asked you a question and I expect an answer." He broke the silence, making me jump in surprise.

I still kept quiet.

His fingers found his way under my chin and brought my face up, forcing me to look at his dull eyes.

"I-It's complicated." I replied, using my free hand to push his arms away and looked back at the ground.

"What's complicated?" His concerned voice filled my ears. "Just get away from me before something happens to you." I replied, walking away from him.

Law stood there while he watched me walked away from him.

I went to Luffy's ship's backyard and sat down next to the pillar.

"What am I going to do?" I questioned myself, burying my head on the palms of my hands.

"Emiko-chan, why are you here all alone and sad?" Luffy's voice broke the silence. The rubber boy jumped down infront of me and sat beside me.

"I don't know Luffy, I really want to break the news but I know that you're gonna call me crazy." I sighed at him.

"Tell me!" Luffy exclaimed. "I-I," I said, looking into Luffy's eyes, "I met Ace.".

"Ace?!" Luffy jumped. I nodded my head. "That can't be... Ace's dead, unless you dreamt of him." Luffy said, rubbing his chin.

"Nevermind." I sighed, looking at the fresh cut grass. "Luffy, is Emiko feeling any better?" A voice said.

"Uh." Luffy replied. I looked up and saw Nami smiling at me. "I'm glad that you're better now Emiko, let's set sail now!" Nami exclaimed.

"YOSH!" The whole crew shouted. "How about the Kid pirates?" I asked Nami.

"Don't worry, Franky tied a rope to their ship to Sunny so we won't get lost." Nami smiled at me.

I smiled back at her as the ship started moving. "YOSH! LET'S GET GOING TO DRESSROBA!" Luffy exclaimed.
