Chapter 3: Family Day

Sydney POV

I woke up to the smell of breakfast. I opened my eyes and the kids were eating in my room watching Spongebob. Everybody was fully dressed and ready to go. I sat up and they looked at me.

"Hi mommy." Ciara said smiling then looking back at the TV.

"Hi baby." I said.

Jayden was laying next to me with a bottle in his mouth. I put him on my lap and smothered him in kisses.

"You finally up I see." Scott said coming out the bathroom.

He sat down next to me and kissed me on the cheek.

"Where y'all about to go?" I asked grabbing my plate if food next to me.

I was trying to eat but Jay just ruined my breakfast. I fed him some eggs while I ate the bacon and grits.

"We not about to go no where, but we're about to." he said.

"You know I got work today." I said.

"That's not until 8, we can still go out and spend some time as a family." he said.

"Alright." I said getting up.

I went to my closet and got my outfit out. I walked out the room to Steph's room. I went in but she wasn't in there. I got dressed and went back to the room. I grabbed my phone and called Steph.

Me: Hey where you at?

Stephanie: I'm out running some errands. Do you need me?

Me: No I was just checking on you.

Stephanie: Alright talk to you later

Me: Alright.

I hung up and put my shoes on. I grabbed everybody's cups and plates and took em downstairs. I washed them and went back upstairs.

"So where we going?" I asked picking Jay up.

"I was just thinking the mall then get some ice cream." Scott said.

"Alright let's go everybody." I said.

Everybody went downstairs and I turned the TV off. I grabbed Jayden's babybag and went downstairs. I set the alarm and went outside. I buckled him up and got in. Scott started the car and we left.

"$1067.34" she said bagging up the stuff.

He swipped his car and put in the pin. I grabbed the bags and we walked out. We walked towards the food court and got some ice cream for the kids. We found a big enough table for all of us and sat down.

"So who gone be at the club tonight?" Scott asked helping Ciarian with her ice cream.

"Fredo Santana!" I said getting excited.

Out of all the Glory Boyz, I love me some Derek. He is just so fine.

"Chief Keef gone be there?" he asked.

"Probably." I said.

"Ma can we go to the play area?" Derrick asked.

I turned around and saw it was only a couple of feet away from us.

"Yea." I said.

They all got up and went over there.

"I miss this man." he said looking at me.

"I bet you do. You could've had more of this if you wouldn't have left when I told you I was pregnant with Jayden." I said.

"I know I really fucked up." he said.

Usually when Scott apologized in the past, I could tell it was bullshit. But this time he had so much sincerity in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry Sydney for leaving you with three kids. It's just I wasn't really ready to be a father and I was still tryna be on that childish shit. I'm ready now." he said

I never really expected him to walk out on us. I always thought our relationship will end because of his infidelity.

"I accept your apology." I said pecking him on the lips.

We talked some more until it was time for us to go home. We got the kids ready and we left. We packed up the car and headed home. Everybody got out and went in the house. Me, Scott and Jayden went in my room and laid down.

"What time is it?" I asked yawning.

"6:30" he said.

I got up and went to my closet. I picked out a turquoise croptop, black Robin Jeans and my Gamma Blues. I topped it off with my "Glory Boyz" necklace and my gold rollie. I went in the bathroom and curled my hair. I went in the room and Scott was looking at me.

"What?" I said sitting on the bed.

"Don't be getting to close to them Glory Boyz now." he said.

"Shut up." I said laughing.

"I'm deadass serious." he said

"Anyways on Monday, we gotta go pick up Derrick's tux. But tonight yo job is to put all the kids to sleep." I said.

"Well you did it for a couple of years, I'm sure I can." He said pecking me on the lips.

I got on top of him when my phone went off. It was Luna so I answered it.

Me: Hello

Luna: Hey they're here and I gotta go meet up with Janis so I need you to come a little early.

Me: Alright I'm on my way.

"Why Luna had to mess up our romantic moment." he said.

"I'm glad she called, I forgot I was still mad at you for having that thot at yo house." I said getting up.

"Oh yea I'm sorry for that too." he said smiling.

I kissed him and Jayden and left out the room. I went to the twins room.

"Bye my babies." I said giving all of them a kiss on the cheek.

"Bye ma." Derrick said.
