Chapter 5: In My Bed

Sydney POV

I pulled up to the house and parked. I got out and unlocked the door. I went to the kitchen and made me something to eat. I ate downstairs so I wouldn't wake the kids or Scott. I washed my dish and went upstairs. I walked in my room and he was up watching TV.

"Hey what you doing up?" I asked.

"Having a hard time sleeping I guess." he said scratching his head.

"Awww my ScottyPooh couldn't get any sleep without me." I said stripping out of my clothes.

"Don't call me that, that's gay." he said.

"Aww I'm sorry." I said crawling into bed.

"Mhmmm." He said dosing off.

I was about to go to lay my head on the pillow when I saw some foundation on it. I don't even wear foundation so.

"SCOTT!" I yelled smacking him on the arm.

"I'm tryna sleep Syd." he said.

"Who makeup is this on my pillow?" I asked.

"What is you talking about?" he said rolling over so he was facing me.

I picked the pillow up and held it to his face.

"That ain't makeup." he said.

"Really Scott you gone tell me what makeup is." I said.

He rolled back over without saying nothing.

"You gone tell me who was in my fucking bed Scott!" I said muffing him in the head.

"Don't touch me." he said.

"Don't have no other bitches in my bed." I said.

"It's yo makeup." he said.

"I don't fucking wear foundation Scott, who the fuck was in my bed." I said.

"You tripping go to sleep." he said.

"You tripping, get the fuck out my house." I said.

He sat up and looked at me.

"So we on that?" he said.

"I really thought things were going to change around here and that you were going to be a better father but..." I said before he cut me off.

"I ain't no good father?" he asked me.

"Not if you got other bitches around my kids." I said.

"Man don't ever fucking say that I'm a bad father. I do everything I gotta do for these kids." he said getting up.

He put his clothes on and slammed the door. It was silent for a minute until I heard Jayden start crying. I got up and went to his room. I made him a bottle and we went back to my room. I turned off the lights and TV and crawled into bed with Jay.

"Yo daddy mad Jay man." I said.

He started smiling then fell asleep. I put his bottle on the nightstand and fell asleep.

I woke up and saw Scott and Jayden watching TV. I sat up and he turned his head towards me.

"I thought you left last night." I said.

"I was but then I realized what I did was wrong and I'm so sorry Sydney." he said.

"I don't accept your apology. I still had feelings for you but their slowly but surely starting to fade away. I would've never thought that infidelity would be a issue in our relationship. Yea it was the drugs and you walking out but never once the cheating." I said.

"But we're not together Syd. So don't say I cheated when I really didn't." he said.

"Well lemme just tell you something, if you are trying to work on a relationship with someone, you do not bring other bitches or hoes in their beds." I said slowly so he understood what the hell I was saying.

He started laughing and I got up. I grabbed my clothes and towel and went in the bathroom. I turned on the water and got in. Scott does so much dumb shit that I can't take it no more. I really wanna get full custody of the kids but I know it wouldn't be good for them. Sometimes I feel like moving to a different city but I know he's just going to follow me. I don't understand how I still have feelings for a man that treats me like this.

Scott POV

"Daddy what we doing today?" Ciarian asked me.

"I don't know what y'all momma got planned." I said giving everybody they cereal.

They went to the dining room table and started eating. I warmed up some baby food and started feeding Jayden. Sydney came downstairs dressed but she was on the phone with somebody.

"See you in a minute." she said hanging up.

"Who was that?" I asked her.

"Stephanie, she's babysitting today." she said walking in the living room and sitting next to me.

"Why where you going?" I asked.

"Don't worry about me." she said smiling.

"You got a date?" I asked her.

She just sat there then she started cracking up. Man that's one of the reasons we got together in high school. She was just so goofy and funny.

"Yes Scott I have a date." she said.

"With who?" I asked.

"Somebody, you don't tell me who you have dates with in my bed." she said.

"Really tho?" I said.

The doorbell went off.

"Really tho." she said getting up.

She answered the door and Stephanie came in.

"Where you been?" Syd asked.

"I need to talk to you." she said.

"Well I'm about to go can we talk later." Syd said.

"Yea sure." she said.

Syd gave all the kids a kiss and came over to me. She grabbed Jay and gave him a kiss.

"Can I get one?" I said puckering my lips.

She started dying laughing.

"Anyways, you leaving?" she asked me.

"Yea in a minute." I said.

She put Jay back on my lap and walked to the door.

"Love you." I said smiling.

"Mmmhmmm." she said walking out the door.

Steph took the kids upstairs and it was just me and her.

"How you been Steph." I said.

"I don't even wanna talk about it." she said putting her head in her hands.

I scooted over next to her and put my arm around her.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

She signed and looked at me.
