Chapter 7: Weeks

3 Days Later

Scott POV

I got up and went to the kids room. They were already up and dressed.

"Y'all ready to go to school?" I asked.

"No." Ciarian said.

I laughed and brung them downstairs. Reigna was on the couch with Jayden eating breakfast.

"Imma take them to the bus stop, I'll be back." I said going out the door.

We walked to the corner and waited for the bus. It pulled up and they got on.

"Love you Daddy!" Ciara yelled from the window.

"Love you too." I said walking back to the house.

I opened the door and went in. I sat on the couch next to Reigna.

"Hey." she said pecking me on the cheek.

"Hey." I said grabbing Jay.

"I guess you haven't told Sydney about me?" she said.

"What she need to know about you for? I told you we done." I said.

"Okay y'all might be over but from what I heard the bitch don't like other girls around her kids." she said.

"Don't call her a bitch Reigna." I said getting a little defensive.

"I'm just saying." she said getting up and walking upstairs.

I rocked Jayden back to sleep and laid him on the couch. I went to the downstairs bathroom and got my box from under the sink.

Sydney POV

"So how much I'm getting paid?" Leon asked.

"15 a hour." I said.

"What about 15 a hour and yo number." he said biting his lip.

I chuckled and leaned on the desk.

"It wouldn't be that hard to find another DJ." I said.

"Alright I'll take what I could get." he said getting up.

I shook his hand and lead him out.

"So when y'all need me?" he asked.

"Well you are a full time DJ and the club is open everyday of the week." I said getting smart.

"Oh okay, so I'll see y'all tonight at 8?" he asked.

"7." I said.

He nodded his head and walked out. I walked outside and took a smoke break. I was on my phone when somebody pulled up. I looked up and it was Derek with Reese and some random. Derek got out the car and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Hey what you been up to?" he asked me.

"Nothing work." I said.

"It's 5 o'clock where the kids?" he asked me.

"Well the weeks thing worked out and Scott has em." I said.

"Are y'all on good terms, like with y'all relationship?" he asked me.

"Well we we're working on things but I told him straight up that I was done with him." I said.

"So I guess that gives me a chance with you." he said smiling.

I chuckled and kissed him on the cheek.

"Yea I guess it does." I said biting my lip.

"Can y'all like hurry up, I'm hungry." Reese yelled from the car.

"You can take the car, I'm riding with her." he said looking at me.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Shit should've told me that when we pulled up." he said getting in the driver's seat.

"Hungry ass." I said laughing.

He pulled off and me and Derek went in the building. I grabbed the "Help Wanted" sign off the door and put it in my office.

"Y'all was hiring?" he asked me pulling me on his lap.

"Yea our DJ quit." I said.

I packed my stuff up and we locked up. We got in the car and headed towards Pick N Save. We got out and went in.

"Who we cooking for?" he said getting back in the car.

"I'm meeting my sister's baby's father." I said pulling off.

"What she having?" he asked.

"Twins." I said pulling up to the house.

We got out and walked in the house. Steph was sitting at the island on the phone. We put rest of the groceries in the refrigerator and left the rest we needed out. We washed our hands and started cooking.
