This is another obvious one. Cut out a lot of your desserts and snacking. It's so easy to do, really.

At night, instead of getting that ice cream out, grab some strawberries out and cut them into fourths. When you eat them in fourths, it tricks your mind to eating more.

Through the whole day when your home and around food, you might get bored and end up snacking on a bunch of stuff. Really, a lot of the calories you get are from boredom eating. Go out and do something, or entertain yourself.

Really, a lot of the time you eat, you don't need it. You just do it because it sounds good to you. It's a bad habit, and you really should break it before it gets worse, or before you start.

Snacks are good when you're a little hungry. Sure it's fine to have desert once in a while. Here is where your elementary health classes come back into your life. Eat them in what? Moderation! Plan to have once a week or once every other week desert plan. You don't need ice cream three times a week. Once every week or two is so much better, and makes it seem more like a treat.

A lot of times you'll walk into a gas station for a water and you stop in front of the candies, then buy king size ones that you don't need. Go over to the gum instead.

Yes, I'm aware that gum has calories, but you can chew on it for a long time, and the flavor will stop you from eating more things. It's a lot healthier to have a piece of peppermint gum than to eat a bag of skittles.

Really, take the snacks down to eat them when you're hungry so you're not. Eat you desserts in a moderation.
